I am hoping these will be soloable at some time in the future, like next expansion, I will then farm them. If they aren’t I will do without. I just can’t farm those island expeditions in pug groups.

These mounts are stupidly hard to farm. I honestly pick like 2 days each week where I do nothing but islands. I got the jellyfish before the loot changes months ago. I just want a usable one. I’ve done close to a thousand islands since then? I do them all with my boyfriend and he’s gotten 3 of the mounts >.>

You can keep them. I have no interest in grinding in that casino.

I didn’t even consider how many it would take if you lost at one, sorry I didn’t put that in.
What happens if you lose? Does it give anything?
The parrot, the surf jelly, and the bat (if you don’t have the store mount already) are probably the most valuable.
Everything else seems a bit LQ.
I’ve been drafted into a couple where it was almost a loss and almost over. I don’t recall any big rewards as I wasn’t there much but whatever azerite I was there for counted. I know one I had 6k so I had to do an additional one that week for 5 total.
I don’t see the harm in them adding the mounts to the vendor, even if they cost 1000 or more dubloons. The drop rates are atrocious, and they can’t be purchased from the AH like the mogs/pets.

I have done hundreds of islands… Got my first mount last night… do not farm for them if you value your sanity

The best plan is to wait 1-2 expansions when you can clear a mythic island solo in a minute or 2. Farming for them now is asking to go insane.

Better to farm it now while BfA is current and you can find people and make new friends. Rather than, waiting til late in the expansion or next one, where few want to and you’d be doing it by yourself mostly.
Is there a point to farming any mounts? For me mount farming is not enjoyable. I do it while watching a stream on a second monitor or listening to a podcast. It is something to do while you are too tired or bored of the game to do anything that requires your full attention. Sooner or later, a mount will drop. Just don’t go in expecting anything and you will lead a happier life.
That’s the point of farming them, just like any other low drop/rare mount.
I have ran over 350 total IE, and I have not seen a mount. When I have grouped with friends, they have gotten a total of 5 mounts, and it has always been the RL female of the party that gets it. RNG hates me.
I’ve given up on the mounts, I do the weekly usually but don’t care to continue past that because it’s not worth my time.

I’m slow when it comes to knowing where mounts are BUT when I knew that killing the twilight mobs had a chance to reward a dragon mount then I had to have it, and damn if that same day it didn’t drop. I had to pick my jaw off the keyboard.
That said I’m about to run love dungeon again in the hope of getting the rocket, and we all know how that’s gonna end
