I’m only saying that, if you want to hold onto your hunter and start from scratch later on because armor pen eventually gets removed.
I would just stack agil anyways like you said.
Pretty much armor pen is only useless in pve ,as no boss has an armor value, being warriors only use sunder armor to maintain threat.
literally everyone had one in 2008 too. Only reason they’re rare is because players from that era in retail now are scarce.

It is a catch-up raid but everyone is focused on the mount. In vanilla, it was hard to get at the start and only the top guilds had them. My issue with it now is that I can never find a group outside of my geared characters. I haven’t raided much on my mage since I switched servers, but everyone is looking at logs and specs and since I’m frost and have no logs on my current server, I’ve had issues getting into groups.
I do want the chest loot, but I could don’t really care about amount that everyone else has.

Was it ever just a “catch-up” raid? Remember back in 2.3, when ZA was released, most guilds hadn’t even cleared tier 5 content let alone Tier 6.
Vashj and Kael were massive blocks for a long time back in the day and ZA was designed to help the guilds stuck on 3/4 and 5/6 tier 5 get over that hurdle. It wasn’t designed for fresh 70s. If I’m wrong please provide me with Blizzard stating that back in Nov 2007 when ZA released.
The “catch-up” gear was 2.4 badge gear which has something like a 140 ilevel and quite a few food pieces and comparable to lower end tier 6.

I think ZA is a great catch-up raid. It’s somewhat difficult, encourages geared players to join, half loot is trashy for geared players, but amazing for someone’s alt. You say the worst, but it actually may be ahead or equal to ZG.

As a Prot Paladin with only T4 and Kara epics, Theres no chance of me getting in to ZA to tank. People only want T5-T6 people so they can stomp it in 20 minutes and I get it that would be pretty cool, but I dont think it can be classified as a “catch up raid” like many people call it as no one wants anyone with Kara gear and it just means you have to farm heroics for any sort of badge gear which can take ages for the casual player.
For those asking, yes ZA was originally intended to be a “catch up” raid. Thus, it came with changes to the badge system and new items on Ge’ras as well. Even if you only 3/4 chest it that’s still legitimate upgrades for someone in Kara gear.
