I don’t have the trust level to post links but if you literally type in “burning crusade beta 2006” in youtube search you will find several videos, from showcasing starter zones to Outlands dungeons. Go upvote all my posts and get me some trust level and I’ll gladly post you all of them

This is what you posted:

I was wondering if you had any sources for this stuff. Obviously we can leave the anecdotal evidence out since that’s entirely subjective.

just type shadowlands player decline in google and sort yourself out

You do realize everyone disagreeing WITH YOU is also a good source of information as well right? The player base is drastically down from the 8 mil that bought the game and is teetering at 2 mil MAYBE 3 mil active players day to day…

Here is my source and it has been very accurate [Wow Realm Population] wowrealmpopulationdotcom … It is a link but I am sure you can figure it out cause it wont let me post the link so…

That’s Deflection sweety. I don’t complain about 15$ a month lol. I’d pay 30 if it meant the quality would prove.

I like how you’ve completely changed your tune once it got harder to defend your standpoint. And now you’re trying to tell me that I shouldn’t complain because it’s only 15 dollars a month.

Keep talking though

It didn’t? Put your readers on and read the rest of my post(s)?

For the 5th time

Blizzard isn’t failing, because WoW isn’t their only product

???

Like what part of this is so hard for you to understand?

You keep coming back with all these subjective examples of how WoW itself isn’t doing well , or isn’t fun, of which have nothing to do with Blizzard’s viability as a business

no, I’m done because I’m convinced you have the reading comprehension skills of a blind dog

What does that even mean

Also, you are arguing with bloomsday…u new around here?

In my opinion, there are still many talented people working on WoW - from the art department to the combat designers, lots of great people make the game still fun to play overall.

However I would say that the current leadership team and game director are the most arrogant yet incompetent group of people to manage WoW since launch. They run this game on a “trial and error” strategy that ends up turning it into a paid beta test where even when the community provides them with solutions and ideas they always find a way to either outright ignore them or do a half way where they still put their own internal spin on the system. It’s like there’s this layer of contempt for the player base and the leaders of this game can’t bring themselves to admit the community might know a better way of doing things then they do.

Absolutely agree with this

The lack of communication and when legit player concerns come up with tons of detail it goes on deaf ears

basically they set up the beta for players to promote the game ( put in the forums a vent post) so the players can 'vent" the frustration with no intention of actually implementing a fix

YET, if it cuts into the bottom dollar they take swift action.

Check out their quarterly earnings statement. It literally says 7%. Lol

Yea and they haven’t had anything else to show in years. Only reason they did well is because of WoW nostalgia and because it was a pandemic and people were inside playing video games. Did you not see the outrage over the 200 million dollar CEO bonus? Players aren’t happy

I ain’t worried about you. Was outside catching some sun. Might log on WoW because I’m about to take a nap and it’s a good sleep aid.

Keep doing those carries though

Activision owns King. Blizzard does not. Big distinction there. Read the financial statements they are public information.

Dude. Overwatch 2 is at least a year away. Same with the next Diablo. What other games does Blizzard have that bring in revenue?

If you were a sheep, would you willingly walk into a cave full of hungry pissed of wolves? This is why they dont bother responding to any of these posts.

Wow is a dead game and activision is just trying to milk the last few drops from its teat. I honestly hope this company fails. Horrible management, I don’t think the game designers get much say.

As a Game Designer, I think its a little of both, but the root cause isn’t bad game design or poor management, I think its the scope of game design philosophy.

Game design philosophy impacts multiple avenues of the game which include game design and management.

Look at WoW was from Vanilla to MoP and now MoP to Shadowlands.

The game has became a massive instanced lobby game that has diminished RPG elements and design philosophy.

I think one of the main problems, specifically to PVP, is that Blizzards philosophy is more about eSports rather than comprehending how to balance their core gameplay, classes, specs and abilities.

When you see mostly damage output fixes in patch notes, and nothing that considers utility ability distribution to role to class to spec, or the weight of power of abilities in scope of the entire classes/spec’s tool kit, that is very worrisome.

When Chris Kaleiki left Blizzard as a Game Designer one of the things he mentioned that he worked on, was the majority of Monk abilities and other class/spec abilities. That is a massive red flag, when you have a developer designing single abilities that may not take in the entire scope of all classes and the thematic tool kit of a class. This is probably one of the reasons why class balance is bad other than obvious, (homogenization is not class balance). This to me entails poor management.

There are a slew of things wrong with WoW as a whole, but I notice the class design and class balance issues more because that’s what I am passionate about.
