You should copy/paste this thread to the CS forums and then change your password right away.
I have never heard of these people.
Post this over there.
Edit: Oh I will add. Reason why I said to post there was to alert the Blizzard team that this is still a problem. If you actually did this, then there is a near 100% chance that your account has already been compromised.
And another reason why you should post there is so that you have a much better chance of getting a blue to look at and reply to you. ALSO try to report this to the hacks.
I have changed my password two times and deleted all payment methods. If it is a scam, why is it in my google play store? Why doesnât bliz do something about it?
There are so many WOW related scams and especially now, since the gold farmers know thereâs a lot of new and returning players. They just want to steal your credentials. Then theyâll use your characters as gold mules, deleting them afterwards.
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/caelestrasz/marothresh That is built into the wow site right here.
Thereâs also:
https://simplearmory.com/#/us/caelestrasz/marothresh/collectable/mounts This site is a stamp collection of your wow collectibles. It just uses the wow armory for info, so donât even need to login. Can totally snoop anyoneâs stuff! But it doesnât work toys or gear.
As someone who fell for a Runescape Scam Twice (way back) anyone wanting your account info is hardcore scam. Donât use it or anything else that requires credentials unless you are willing to put forth the risk.
I even did a third time to risk the biscuit and try to see how fast I could out pace the scammer to change password (wasnt going to play RS anymore) still lost many items as people who want your account items do it FAST!
Thank you everyone, I have changed my password many times to make sure annd deleted all payment methods? This is a hard lesson for me. I will be more careful next time.
You should never, ever, use a program that requires you to use your login credentials for your Blizzard account unless it is through an official Blizzard run service.
Also check the URL domain first to be safe, or login with a fake username or password first and see what happens. Because itâs surprisingly easy to replicate a websiteâs login page to trick people to enter their ID and password.
You should never put your log in credentials into a 3rd party app/website. Thatâs like rule number 1.
If you havenât already, you should change your password - make sure to verify your email address hasnât already been changed (if they changed the email address, then they can change your password).
