Yesterday morning I spent all my gold buying 6 tokens to buy “World of Warcraft®: Complete Collection, Heroic Edition” but when I try to turn the tokens into Blizzard Balance and get this error: “WoW Token redemption is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.”
I opened a ticket yesterday morning but no answer yet.
Am I the only one getting this error? It’s working for you?
Note: I’m in US Servers.
The price has really fallen. What are they… around 100-110k gold now?
I haven’t seen any posts in the CS or Tech support forums with people having trouble with tokens recently. I wonder if it’s just an issue with your UI or maybe an addon interfering.
You can try disabling your addons and see if that clears it up. If it doesn’t the next thing to troubleshoot with is a Full UI Reset to rule out a corrupt UI.
I mean, there’s still the possibility there might be an issue server side, but those steps are still good troubleshooting steps.

Sorry OP. I’ve never been on that side before. But selling tokens seems to work fine.
I did it on a new toon with no addons enabled, it give me the choice to turn it in game time, the error is only for balance.
Are you by chance close to the Balance cap? According to the support article, that could be an issue:
Using a WoW Token
Note : If you are at or near the Blizzard Balance cap, you cannot redeem a Token for Blizzard Balance
Also, is your battle.net account an NA account or was it originally an EU account by chance? If it was EU or if the address on your account is for a country not supported by the NA client, then you won’t be able to convert to balance either. Though I don’t believe it would even let you purchase the token to begin with if that’s the case.
Edit to add info on Balance restrictions:
The maximum amount of Blizzard Balance you can have on your account is $350, or $110 if you don’t have an Authenticator linked to your account.
This is my first time buying tokens, so the cap isn’t a issue.
My account is like 10 years old, when i created it I used to live in the Caribbean and never played again until now. I’m playing in US servers but never updated my account info.
I tried to change my country just in case that was the problem but the website says I have to spend my tokens first, which is a problem for me because it was 2 months collecting them for buy BFA/SL no game time.
Yeah, sounds like it’s an issue then with the address on your account. If you’re now in the the US, you’ll want to put in a ticket to have the address updated for you. I believe that you may need to provide some additional proof to verify your new location, but it should be pretty straight forward and Blizz should be able to help out.

A friend of mine bought 10 tokens a couple days ago. It seemed to work fine then.
Again, I already tried to change my country but it says this "You must use all WoW Tokens before changing your country. " I don’t want to waste my tokens in game time, i just want the expansions, that’s why i’ve been working so hard.

If you got a ticket in via another avenue, I’d wait on that one then. Tickets are at about 2 days last I heard. But I don’t believe that there will be anything you can do on your end without the help of Blizzard at this point.

Do you believe a CS post would speed up the process? A notice of “working on it” at least?
A blue there might be able to confirm that it’s the address on your account (which I’m just about positive it is), but they won’t be able to speed anything up as they’re not GMs.
I primarily help out in the CS forums but poke my head into the General forums from time to time too

Anyone who thinks that ‘30days of gametime’ should be worth more than 100k needs to take some Business Administration lessons/classes.
Might want to review your business administration lessons… I made over 200k last week (which was a really bad week). I can easily afford to spend 100k to cover another four weeks of making gold. Even at that rate, I’d gain 700k gold in profit every month.
The cost may not work for you, but that doesn’t mean that other people can’t make that much money in far less time than it covers.
I wish to be able to make that amount of gold, but isn’t so easy in legion
I’m saying 30 days of gametimes isn’t worth more than 100k. regardless.
$20 is the same for everyone, but whether you actually care about burning $20 on takeout or stretching it out through going to the grocery store to get you meals for the week is up to you and how meaningful that $20 is. To some the extra gold past what you’re considering is the proper market value is meaningless to them.
Exactly… it’s not hard to make the gold. I’d rather pay with Gold then fork out cash for the subscription.
