Mine still sells game codes, but all the art and advertisements for WoW still have Mist of Pandaria as the latest expansion.
before my kmart closed down they still had the battle chests for bc, wrath and cata.
i haven’t been in retail store for about 10 years.
I thought buying video games at the store was non-essential so just assumed they would be shut
I’ve never seen anything about wow being sold in stores here in Brazil, not even regular battle.net cards, at least in my city. I see these online all the time, but not in physical stores.
Just in Target last week and saw a Bfa box and a Wow box that looked like Vanilla. Maybe that was a Classic box? I dunno.
blizzard needs to make a store like nintendo did with nintendo new york.
where they sell all blizzard apparrell and stuff
I haven’t been in an actual shop like that in years. ( Thanks anxiety ya jerk ) But according to my Mom a lot of the ones by us still sell cards for it.
Reminds me of the Mtn Dew they had. Never could find the Horde one. I had a unopened Alliance one on my desk before we moved to an apartment. I have no idea where that ended up now.
the local walmart still carries the physical copies and cards. target only carries the cards. i remember in the clearance section of the electronics area at wally wizzle was a limited edition cataclysm box set that sat there for literal years. someone musta bought it cause when i went there few weeks back it was gone. pretty hilarious cause every so you would keep getting slashed. the last time i saw it was something like 5.95 or something.
The walmart near me still sells battle chests, time cards, and the last
two expansions.
I haven’t bought a PC game in a retail store for a very long time. I can’t honestly say if the local Walmart does or does not. Sometimes I swing over to look at PS4 games but very rarely. I think the vast majority of PC gamers buy everything online at this point.
Back in the late 90s those old game shops used to be covered wall to wall with PC games. I used to go into Electronics Boutique when I was younger. Most of the game shops keep very small PC game collections at this point.
i hope they’re collectors editions… because anything prior to BFA shouldn’t still be on the shelves.
Yeah, they’ve even still got the same few physical Collectors Editions of BFA on the shelf that have been there for, the last almost 2 years or so?
Last time I saw a game box in store was for Mists. They even stopped selling came cards where I live in Canada for about six months when they switched subs to local currency. Don’t know if it just took them that long to get new ones printed with the new price or if they just waited till all the old ones had sold off first.
i saw blizz card at walmart
Man, my grocery store still sells just about every gift card. They even have roblox gift cards which I find outrageous to believe. As far as WoW related ones, never checked a gift/code card in years to begin with. If I remember this thread, I’ll tell ya. lol
The battle.net cards I see in one super market around my city, though it’s a small town and only in recent years we got those cards.
It depends. Some actually do sell physical copies of BFA or some other Warcraft games.
The posters are hit or miss, sometimes being in Pandaria and sometimes for BFA.
I think its funny so many stores around here still sell wow without BFA for $20. I mean whats the point? Last time I was at Walmart and Target they both still sold it. I am sure gamestop has it.
Walmart still got a copy of Cataclysm (EU) French. Never understand why they sold EU version for French Canadians instead just giving a single server.
