Is WoW ingrained into your soul?

When you quit playing for some time, how long does it take you to shake the feeling that you need to log in?

I haven’t played in like a week, but I feel like I should be playing. It’s weird! I shouldn’t feel this way. Any of you feel like this sometimes?

I still have Classic so I get my Warcraft fix via that.

I feel nothing for SLs.

  • You take a break of a game.
  • You do not play for a whole weak
  • You feel like you should be playing
  • You never stopped posting on the forum of the game you are taking a break from…

I call it suspicious!

I used to get the same feeling as you, but with SL, I kinda stopped giving a crap.

Aside from today, I don’t think I’ve posted since this past Monday. I think it’s been Sunday since I last played.

i’ve been playing for nearly half my life now, so yeah i’d say it’s pretty engrained

So this feeling is called addiction…

And it wrecks families!
Seek help, do another dungeon.

About five minutes. Shadowlands totally killed my desire to play. I actually have to convince myself to log in at least once a week nowadays.

I know it’s not possible to escape the Maw, but maybe this is actually what Sylvanas Windrunner was actually referring to when she said that she will save us All!

No, I don’t feel a need to log in.

in answer to your direct question: None. When I quit playing I tend to only pick the game back up when I have accomplished the minor issues in my life that were blocking me from playing.
Sometimes its moving 30 miles away, sometimes its having a new baby that needs my 24/7/365 attention until I get to the nap schedule time, and sometimes its, I dont really feel like upgrading my gaming setup to accommodate the new reqs.

Typically I go months before I decide, you know, Id really prefer playing my old game instead of bouncing around social media and tv.

I did feel that way but WoD cured me, now i can come and go as i please without getting that feeling.

No. I don’t feel like that.

If the game isnt making me what it’s intented to then I simply stop logging in or just unsub.
After all there’s other games out there and always new series/movies to watch or catch up.

The longest I can go without playing the game it seems for me is a couple of days. After a few days I have to login to WoW to get my fix.

Mostly just login lately to do dungeons along with World Quests for anima. I’m hoping to have most of the anima-related rewards from my covenant before 9.1 drops.

Been working on achievements too lately. Another reason why I login frequently. Been addicted to this game since I started playing in 2004.

Depends. Gone from 3-4 months up to about 1.5 years.

I have this one guildie that said she would be back today, but then she said she would be back tomorrow, so I am sort of just winging it.

If there’s nothing to keep my interest, I don’t log in.

I don’t think that’s a bad thing - it’s only a game, after all - but with all the mechanics added seemingly to increase retention, it makes me wonder.

Oh well. I’ll enjoy it in my own way until I don’t anymore.

about 2 weeks to a month. Though SL and the fact i would have to to find a guild that raids very very very late has helped me not play.

I can’t even remember how I was occupying myself when I totally skipped WoD and half of Legion
