Healing is in a weird spot right now for sure but dead? No. The problem is healing is Overpowered in raids, and somewhat Underpowered in M+ when dealing with avoidable damage.
The real problem in M+ lies squarely on people not performing as a team, not getting out of avoidable damage, not interrupting, acting as if all affixes are “healer affixes” etc. not that healers are really underpowered.
Sunday happens in two days. On weekends the full time forum posters are out of office, so they like to pretend the quality goes down and the crazies come out. Mostly it’s because they didn’t think to post it first though.
look, the reality is that healers are not designed around the way damage is happening. they just aren’t. and it’s not fun.
holy paladin was able to handle it because they were redesigned properly, but now theyre tuned down. even though holy palaidn can still do it, why would they want to? its not fun
You should add a disclaimer that this is regarding the highest levels of an infinite scaling system where enemy damage is more than double what happens at 20s (highest level with rewards) and pulls are much larger to meet the dps requirements to time.
