Is WoW for the Average Player Anymore?

I would run a dungeonfinder M +15 just to see who it picks. Here’s your healer! better pray.

I mean at this point? People could probably manage a +15 in the queue, just have a requirement that they timed a 14 of that dungeon before and are ilvl 240 or something.

Sounds like a personal problem
Some ppl fail 5 times some fail 100 times

Go play through Final Fantasy VII Remake on the hardest mode. Challenging boss fights, very difficult, very testing of your skills, that require you to make the fullest possible use of not one, not two, but THREE characters at the same time in order to succeed. Way more fun than beating your head against a brick wall until eventually it cracks which is what the MT essentially is.

And that’s just one example. There are tons more.

Go beat Sekiro while you got the demon bell

This is what people don’t understand, “failing 100x isn’t fun”. There’s plenty of us who got it day 1 within the first hour of it releasing.

So are you saying you want to set the bar to 5 attempts for a bad player to get it, so every good player will go in and 1 shot it? Or do you want to set the bar so good players get it in 15-20 attempts? Cause if that’s the case then yes it will probably take bad players 100+ attempts.

You guys don’t take into account that you could just be so severely unskilled at the game that you’re in the sub 10th percentile of the playerbase and instead blame the game itself and want everything so mind numbingly easy, but you’re so self centred that you don’t look at how unfun it would be for the players who actually want a challenge.

I dunno about you, but if they released the mage tower and everyone could go in and be done with it in 10 minutes, what would be the point of even putting it in the game. It would be forgotten about the same day it released and would have no value to the game because everybody would have the rewards immediately.

If you can’t go in there and progress further into the fight after hours worth of attempts, that’s a problem with your brain, not the game

Responding to the OP’s original question, I don’t consider myself an average player but a player nonetheless. WoW will always be what I want it to be. There are things I don’t like so I don’t do them (absolutely hate Torghast). Don’t do dungeons or raids due to age constrictions. Yet, there are many things that keep me interested and entertained.

Anyone who enjoys failing a hundred times in what is supposed to be a fun, enjoyable, recreational activity has serious life prioritization issues. I truly pity anyone who actually believes this.

Sure, I am sure folks did that - by mindlessly copying a Youtube video. Yeah, that’s a really awesome achievement.

I’m not going to bother quoting the rest of the elitist garbage you just posted in your transparent trolling attempt so I’ll just say this.

I don’t shy away from challenges in life. I deal with challenges all day, every day, that actually have meaning. Do you? Somehow I doubt it. My life is plenty successful and fulfilled without having to rely on elitism in a video game to feel good about myself.

And there are plenty of people like me who are playing, or have played, WoW in the past. Players who want to have fun in a video game, not beating our heads against an electronic wall until it finally cracks and then think we’ve accomplished anything other than self-injury.

God forbid that Blizzard might get away from their game design model that says that the only way to include challenging solo content in a video game is basically to design encounters that are essentially single-player mythic raids. That’s not fun for everyone. That’s not even fun for most people. And I think the rapidly declining playerbase in this game is proof of that.

Blizzard, at one time, knew how to make fun content. Those days appear to be over. And it’s a shame.

except that includes Legion timewalking M+ where the dungeon is scaled up, not down. so the gear from the dungeon can be obtained at actually competitive ilvl.

Any stats reports from blizzard ? Or you just winging it ?

So if i want something its self centered but if you want something its not ?

To do it in 10 years or to do it in 10 mins is there really a difference ?

My happiness comes from what I have not what others have . If they make the fel bear a default form i will still use it . I mog my character with items that I like regardless how easy to get them is .I have been using this same mog for years now and will keep using it coz I like it .

I think alot of it are also people’s attitudes.
You can’t have an opinion without some smarta$$ putting his 2 cents about how you’re wrong, and you need to get gud.
Meanwhile, most of the idiots that talk like that have hidden profiles so that you can’t see how much they actually suck.
The toxic behavior in this game prevents new people from even trying and attempting to do end game content because nobody likes having to deal with a$$holes.

And a darn fine-looking mog it is, too.

It’s a fact there are players in the 10th percentile, and players who are 90+ it’s not an opinion. Second most of these people in here you can tell instantly looking at their armory that they are sub 10%

No it’s not self centered for me to want challenging content, because there’s plenty of casual content in the game for those kinds of players. You can choose what raid difficulty, and what keystone level that you want to run. Pvp has matchmaking, torghast you can’t fail now with death counts etc

Yes there is a difference. Why would blizz spend all the time and resources on these mage tower fights, the time balancing them. The sets for them, the weapon transmogs (from legion), Druid forms etc, for a 10 minute challenge that will never get touched again and be irrelevant the day they release it

I know it’s hard for you to wrap your head around some of this

It must be better today because I no longer have to level up by killing turtles for several hundred hours.

Another Turtle made it to the water!

No proof like stats report or anything ,i just take your word for it right ?

All of these have challanging content

This MT is nowhere near legion difficulty

Ye because you are almighty and you know everything , gotcha

Are you really that casual that you’ve never even heard of parsing? Raider IO? Etc.

Warcraft logs, go check it out all the stats you want there

Means that 10% are not being able to do it but 90% are doing it or did i read wrong ?

90 percentile means you’re better than 90% of the playerbase. 10% means that 90% of the playerbase is better than you
