Your race literally has no baring outside of the top 1%. But it’s a DPS loss compare to Tauren and a utility loss compare to NE.

Shadowmeld is the best racial by far when stacked up against the other Druid choices
Worgen is crit% and a mini sprint? Not terrible but meld is just better

If you’re not a nelf to meld drink, it’s noticeable. Honestly, doesn’t really matter tho.

I like Darkflight for pillar shapeshift-kiting/chasing, but Shadowmeld really does come handy in a pinch.

I like darkflight for those time when you are getting trained and need to pillar hump. Darkflight and incarnation running around a pillar, very few classes can keep up with me when I use it. Plus its also handy for those melee that like to line of sight you. Mind you these are all things just from the resto perspective

I think dwarf racial is the best in the game right now. I’d make all my healers dwarf if I could but Druids are stuck with night elf

This is a misconception. It’s true the #1 thing to improving is being better at gameplay along with appropriate itemization. Anyone saying racial = the only thing holding you back is being silly.
That said, it’s FAR from top 1% where a racial like shadowmeld makes a difference. You’ll see it in the top 30-40% easily.
Being NE lets you sneak drinks, dodge cc, etc. it’s basically free rating by selecting the race. Why handicap yourself when you can be that thing? Sure you can get 2100+ with better gameplay, but if you mirror matchup another rdruid that is NE you’re already behind because you chose the wrong racial. They can be a slightly worse player and win because the racial is cracked.
