With all 3 specs:
Lowest class representation on PvP ladder.
Non-existent over 2500 Raider io for Mythic+
Some classes have over 3k.
Affliction is okay for raiding but is lower than a lot of other classes. Demo and Destro are trash tier.

For arenas sure, for RBGs tho aff locks are great. Every team wants at least one, maybe two if you’re running a rot comp.
In arena they’re the worst class besides DH. RBGs they’re there just for UA and to pad damage. You’d be stupid to bring two locks because there’s no such thing as rot this expansion.
By “a lot” do you mean “one”?
And apparently being in the top third of raiding DPS makes Destruction “trash tier”.
yeah the raiding breakout is just completely wrong…
aff is exceptional at the moment in CN and destro is actually pretty good as well, its just not aff.
short answer no no it’s not. haters gonna hate
Bad players will bad not matter how the class is.
Outside of raid, warlocks are not desired. They do “ok” in m+ but healthstones don’t make up for mediocrity so getting into groups can be rough.
Aff lock is great in st raid dmg situations but once there is more than 2 targets aff falls drastically. Destro is doing better but still mediocre. Why take a mid-pack dps when you can run top dps? Plus, if I remember correctly, destro requires the necro cov which is basement bad for aff. So, to switch from one to another requires a cov switch. You have to be dedicated to switching destro from aff. Inevitably, it’s still a dps loss.
Demo is still bad. They are working on buffs in .5, but it looks more aoe oriented. Perhaps demo will see action again in m+ but its too early to say. Unless your nothing but a m+ runner, switching cov for demo m+ is probably not feasible.
Warlocks are just bad in pvp, period. They are buffing demon armor and amplify curse, but you never take amplify curse and the demon armor buff helps, but still won’t do anything for melee focusing locks, the dispels of netherward and dark soul, and getting locked out bc we only have one spell class.
I’d say more changes are needed for things to get better but there is a very small amount of improvement.
I’m looking at each boss fight, Affliction and Destro representation isn’t very high. Am I missing something?
Affliction is a top 3 dps.
So probably.
Destro plays fine with nightfae. While necro may have the better cov ability
Nightfae has better soulbinds and mobility.
“Fine” is accepting mediocrity, which I do not.
Obviously you haven’t seen logs of Huntsman with Aff (2 target cleave). They are top 3 in that fight… kind of voids your statement.
Depends on what you mean by good.
Warlock is good at all pve. At 15 and up(please bear in mind that above 15 it’s basically vanity runs) demo and destro fall off due to lower mobility and less impactful utility. They still do what needs doing just fine.
Raids they all ok unless you are doing HoF mythic. Then go Aff.
Are locks better at anything than anyone else? Ehhhhh maybe Aff at mobile burst st.
That’s the biggest thing atm. It’s not that warlocks suck so much as we have no niche outside of Aff cranking st burst in general and st burst is powerful in current design.
i think there’s 1 necro in the top 10 of destro all stars currently and hes sitting at rank 3, for reference im at rank 7 as NF and i know 1 and 2 are also night fae.
night fae soulbinds are hilariously strong even tho soulrot itself doesnt synergise like it does with MR, a huge mastery steroid or haste steroid or 25% free crit with no ICD synergise amazingly well with destro.

This is an aggregate looking at all of the 95th-percentile parses over the past couple weeks in Castle Nathria Mythic. This is generally considered to be a decent representation of overall DPS performance in raid. You’ll note that Affliction is #2 on the list, just behind Boomkin. This holds true at most different percentile ratings. Destruction is #7 on that list, though its position varies more when you look at different ranges of parses.
Yea, which is surprising because it doesn’t feel like it fits at all. It’s like an extra action spell that you get in an area. Just, bad.
soulbinds baby, soulbinds.
I said more than 2 targets, which means 3+.
Perhaps you need to freaking learn to count.
Yep. Which is why vent will never be viable as a covenant.
