Is Vuhdo a good healer addon

I made a disc priest and have no idea how to play her. Help please.

WoW actually allows click casting ingame now. No addon needed.

I use it. With some set up it can be good.

The good thing about vuhdo is you can customize the panels to show hot icons. For disc this is good to keep track of atonement and weakened soul debuff.

You can also enable mouse over targeting in the base ui and use your same default keybinds with those vuhdo panels.

Effectively giving you two different sets of keybinds.

Vuhdo is good for keeping track of debuffs, quick healing.

Although I find using the mouseover macros with visible name plates in combat can be helpful in identifying strangers you can dispel or heal in a pinch.

Vuhdo and Healbot are probably the most popular healing frames addons. You can also use the default frames.

Both addons and default require some fine tuning and “helper” addons/weakauras to get the most out of them, so it kinda just comes down to finding what works for you.

I use Vuhdo on all my characters whether they’re healers or not. Nearly every spec has something they can cast on another character, and that usage cleans up the ability bars some. I don’t like Clique or the new Blizzard frames, because I’d have to use a slot for right click menus on the character frame, since that’s included in the Clique style frames.

I have used Vuhdo for many, many, many years. It is a good healer addon, although more complicated to initially set up than I remember healbot being (I haven’t used that since Wrath, so, eh).

I also use decursive, but that is just a personal preference, and what works for me. I do not like the insta dispell option on vuhdo, as that can be a no-no on certain fights until players get to a designated area. Again, this is just me and how I have developed preferences over many years for healing.

it’s a decent addon but you need to set it up 1st. Tbh I’ve been playing a healer lately and all I really do is made mouseover macros

I’d hesitate to recommend HealBot in this day and age, but if you’re patient with setup VuhDo is very good. Honourable mention to Grid2.

Default frames are okay now as well but Making atonements more obvious is more easily done on add-on frames.

If you can figure out how to configure it properly, VuhDo is the BEST healing addon.

After a long time i started back playing mine, yeah I forgot the rotations but through many changes the spec had I’m not surprised if people just give up. She’s my first toon and I’m not giving up on her just finding it different than holy or shadow.

Vuldo is a good addon in general.

VuhDo’s config is pretty self-explanatory, but there’s a lot to tweak.

Personally I use healbot and it’s crazy easy. It also looks pretty nice. But this is my opinion and ima be VERY biased as I love it so much :joy::upside_down_face:

Edit: disc is very button light and healbot is pretty good for less heal abilities. For me, holy Paladin and holy priest have too many buttons for healbot (but I make it work). Where as resto Druid, disc priest are great imo for healbot

Can’t say, never used it. I use base game raid frames and the newer click binding system blizz implemented a while back. Works exactly the same as most healing addons/mouse over macros.

Healbot.

Also, if you’re going to be a Priest healer, Disc is cool and all, but Holy would make you a far better healer.

Or just roll a Resto Druid. Best healer Class / Spec I ever played. It’s been years since I was being Resto, but I really enjoyed it!

I endorse Vuhdo completely. I’ve been using it since around RotLK, and it works just great for what I’m doing.

I normally play Holy for raids and dungeons, but I use Disc for all of the battlegrounds, arenas, WPvP, etc, and believe me, Vuhdo works great for it. I heal using the raid frames and click-frame ability, and I simply tab target for offence. Vuhdo’s raid frames are completely customizable - you can group them or have separate groups and individual frames for tanks, pets, personal tanks, or whatever, and everything that it displays is customizable as well. I have little marks to show when someone has a shield whereas the mark slowly fades along with the shield. It’s also possible to choose what displays on the frame such as CD’s or enemy CC information, and I have them turn purple when a player needs something dispelled that I can, in fact, dispel.

The key bindings let you choose left and right mouse function, and you may also choose Shift, Ctrl, Shift+Ctrl, and Alt (I never use Alt, but that’s just me), each modifier having the option for left and right mouse button.

I put “Target” on right mouse in order to choose who I’m targeting (such as the tank) by right clicking on the raid frame, but I constantly heal someone I’m not targeting by clicking on them in the raid frames.

There is so much you can do with it that I normally use about a third to a half of it’s functionality, but there are a ton of guides on it if you want to use other stuff. For instance, “Bouquets” - those are multiple healing spells that you consistently use in a row.

You should check it out.

And if you’re playing Disc, get the “Ultimate Radiance” ability. It makes the spell your major healing source. It turns Radiance into an instant cast that heals several players something like 100% more.

Yep it’s good, but it’s fairly complicated and you don’t seem like a self learner so I’d recommend sticking with something like grid, and frankly I wouldn’t recommend disc priest for a new healer either.

VuhDo is great I use it and love it just might need a guide to set it up at first but once you get the hang of it it’s super simples :dracthyr_a1:

I do this with Healbot. :slightly_smiling_face:

I play disc and use vuhdo. It can do a lot of great things and I love using it. However it is complicated to set up and use and change settings. Something youre going to have to read or watch a tutorial for.
