Can’t find reference to this anywhere, but my completed 8 isn’t showing in the vault progress.
It does have the info saying I should complete 8s to upgrade my vault, however.
I thought the season doesn’t start until next week right? If that is the case you won’t get any vault rewards this week?
NM the post says great vault credit starts this week.
Yes, you can work towards a Vault for next week.
As for the OP’s question. We think it’s a visual bug. People did some more Delves and it suddenly changed the number on it.

Try relogging. My progress shows up but some people said they had to relog.

Log didn’t do it - I’ll try completing a few more. Thanks folks.
The vault UI seems to be showing wrong data while inside delves. Exit and it shows the correct info.
Did you only complete 1 Tier 8?
Remember Delves require 2/4/8 for GV slots. It’s only dungeons that start at 1.

I made a post on this last night best any one come up with its bugged . I did a 7 after both valts where at 694 they both dropped IL then did a 8 only one come back up .

Nothing unlocked until Tuesday so there is no vault progress this week.

Im already 8/8 for delves and 4/8 for M0…

But the vault don’t unlock until Tuesday when mythic plus shows up 
We wont get the rewards until Tuesday, yes, thats how its always worked.
But we can progress it right now.
I have vault progress. I have 8/8 m0 and 7/8 delves currently.
They changed it this season. Have a chance at tier before the raid opens

OK, that makes more sense
If I understand it right, I did some M0s and got to delve 8 and should have a choice of what to pick and then the catalyst should make that piece tier. On this coming Tuesday.
Because you had to do lower level delves to unlock tier 8, the progress started from your first level 4 so it’ll take a few more 8s to clear it
