Way back in Vanilla I had a level 29 character for BGs (collecting the best pieces possible for level/spec etc.) Is there a community of people who do this in current Classic? (19s, 29s, 39s, …)
No one really did that last time in 2019. It seems now everyone just rolls another alt to 60 and twinking was totally dead

Ahh, was hoping to relive some of that. Thanks for the insight. I haven’t really played modern WoW Classic so have no feel of it. Was fun to queue up against opposing faction’s twink teams. Oh and no mounts 
Duriel is super wrong. I played in 2019 classic and had a 19, 29 and 39. All of them had queue’s at all times of day but 19 was the quickest

Yeah I was bummed last round, had my 29 twinked and ready… bam no bg ques =(

Actually they did, but it seemed very limited so not sure how you have fun with it. I had to deal with a 19 horde hunter in redridge that was twinked and harassing. This was around AQ time back then.
I’ve heard of some people in my guild doing some twinking. Supposedly some BGs were popping. I wouldn’t expect it to be highly active though.
Yeah early there was a little but nothing like it was in OG. and it died off rather quickly if i recall

That’s far from correct. We had a massive twink scene for 39, 49 and 59. Some of the best times and relationships were built in these groups.
Sirviktorious hit rank 14 at level 59, which hadn’t been achieved back in 2004 vanilla pre 60
I was Decapitator - Blaumeux/ Whitemane, 49 & 59 twink warrior. Hit rank 11 at 59 and had an epic mount, one of the first to do this in the twink scene and I could cap BS before anyone else could get there thanks to the rank 11 mount.

49s were great until they split up east and west coast. They fixed it later but it was too late.
Same, I got my R11 mount at 59 on two toons in 2019 Classic Era.
Great times playing against the same group of people every night.

Yes people twinked. I drank so many tears of twinkers who cried that I “griefed” them for queueing into bgs while leveling to get some rank gear by 60. It was pretty funny. Some seriously sad individuals out there lmao.

I had a 19 twink I would PVP in red ridge with. It was a lot of fun
low-level PVP was absolutely bouncing during the 2019 launch right up to TBC, then it cratered. it cratered so hard at TBC and it really never recovered. by WoTLK, there were still enough players leveling to 80 that the 70-79 bracket was active. everything else, absolutely dead.
curiously, low-level PVP has also be dead in SoD.
The 40s bracket WSG in 2019-2020 was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in WoW. That bracket was very active and extremely fun.
It fell off when TBC happened. I understand that many of the twink players moved on to the other expansions and played there instead.
Recently there’s been some noise about it in Era, and I’ve heard reports of games popping regularly in 19s and others, and I’ve seen some familiar faces on the forums and in-game.
Not sure how this current release will affect that, although I assume it will be a setback.
It absolutely is. I personally didn’t do much of it in vanilla classic. But i had a lot of fun on my 69 war in tbc classic. There are discords m crap for it.
19’s and 49’s still pop daily on era. But only at prime time.
