Seeing as how The War Within is going to feature the Arathor human tribes as a major part of the story, I wonder if the troll-killing sword of old is coming back as well?
It’s currently ‘missing’ in the lore.
Prince Galen, betrayed and killed his father to steal it, and then betrayed the Forsaken and tried to retake Stromgarde for himself, naturally we ended his reign.
It was last used to open Thoras Trollbane’s tomb and recruit him as a Death Knight as of Legion.
It was never confirmed whether or not Thoras is using it as his current runeblade, so it might just be gone.
There’s also the Trollbane weapon itself, from ZA, also hinted at to be a powerful and ancient weapon, could’ve been used in the same way.
Trolls aren’t a major part of TWW, at least as far as we know, so perhaps it’ll remain a mystery.
Just was going through Arathi Highlands in SoD, and I wonder which parts of their lore are going to continue in TWW.

Unfortunately we will probably not even have an inkling of what is to come until Midnight.
Once we return to Quel’thalas, hopefully the Amani will have a bigger role to play. And so will the Arathi and the Trollbanes.

Would be a great opportunity to bring back the bear run in ZA as a m+ dungeon.

They are a separate sect from the Arathi Humans on the surface. Blizzard naming this far-removed branch of Humans that are infused with the Light yet living underground the same as the nation many are familiar with since 2004 was a huge mistake.

Great shout out. I hope so that’d be sweet, would love to get my hands on a Human or Troll only lego… On a side note how could would it be for Blizz to add an item in game almost like the AA from Ashran that you can pass off to other people and if you logout it drops on the ground, and if it sits too long returns to a certain location, just 1 per shard, Warmode Only, gives you some kind of special buff while you have it, for a short time guilds could feel like the keepers of the sword for a time until they fail to pass it off to an online friendly or fail to protect it.
