Is Thrall still a shaman?

Looking for some clarification incase I missed something over the passed couple of expansions. in WoD, Thrall’s fight with Garrosh causes the elements to stop answering him making him powerless as a shaman. However, in Legion, the opening battle scenario we see Thrall make a earth bridge using what I can only imagine the elements. In the Shaman MSQ for legion, I believe Thrall is there as well but only to help us get Doomhammer. From that point on we only see Thrall use his mighty axe skills as a warrior. Soooooo did I miss something in the lore from WoD to present with Thrall? Will we possibly get some sort of resolution with him reconnecting with the elements? So confused on this dude, so any help filling in these blanks would be great. Thank you!

The Doomhammer lore book in the Legion Class hall heavily implies his post-Mak’gora state was more of an internal state of mind issue than a literal “the elements have forsaken him” situation.

It is very much just implied though. It’s not too blatant with it so if there’s nothing more recent than that it could really go either way.

That, and if he was doing Earth Bridges in Legion, it’s probably safe to say he’s still a Shaman or at least able to use the Elements. Maybe he’s just relying on it less.

As far as I know, he’s basically a 2h wielding enhancement shaman still. RIP player shamans.

Thrall, like all major NPCs, is what ever the story calls for.

Thrall regained his connection to the elements during shadowlands, while he was trapped in torghast. Didnt he use his powers in the sanctum of domination as well?

Yeah, Thrall is a shaman still, an enhancement shan that wields 2 hander. He summons the elements during the intro questline for shadowlands.

He also seems very connected with the elements during the war within cinematic.

He never lost his connection with the elements. He was just not able to use it for awhile because he felt unworthy.

He just throws axes around now. I’d say he’s more like a Warrior, if anything.
