Is this xpac gonna be shadowlands all over again?

I am genuinely worried for the state of this game and everything i hear is not looking good.

We have a pre patch event that is 1 hour and 30 mins between events that last 10 minutes long. an overall unpolished patch riddled with bugs.

We have many people in the community worried about the state of next patch, with multiple people begging for an expansion delay, and blizzard is on the other side of the spectrum asking us for 90 dollars for EARLY ACCESS. Mind you, we are not getting m0 or anything of that sort until SEPTEMBER 10TH. with m+ coming a week after.

I know blizzard has about a month to make sure everything is polished. but my god i genuinely hope we dont have an insane release with 10 month patches again. for a 3 xpac trilogy i am really trying to find that silver lining.

Could just be a responsible consumer and wait to purchase to find out how it seems to be going. If you don’t like what you see, just don’t buy.

I know this is crazy talk to a WoW player but it does actually work lol.

SL wasn’t a problem with bugs or lack of polish, it was a problem with systems and bad game design. TWW could certainly turn out to be a mess, but it won’t be SL all over again even if so.

No, because Shadowlands didn’t even give us a new race. Now we’re getting a brand new race, you guys!!!

Leveling will be easy and linear. Likely will still have a “story quest” forced upon you filled with pop culture references and unearned emotional moments told thru cutscenes that interrupt gameplay. All the real content will be locked behind end game.

PVP will get no new mode.

PVE will get a new version of Torghast/Warfronts

Everything will be timegated .

Hero Talents are basically just like Legion Legendaries, Covenents, or the heart of Azeroth. Just a sub-spec system that has never been succesful.

Yep. Looks to be the same old garbage as Shadowlands, Oops I meant DF. Or did I mean BFA? Who knows, all the expansions blur together into one disappointing mess.

At least DF gave us the worst new race/class combo of all time and ugly non-lore accurate dragons to ride.

Hell, iirc the prepatch for SL was well liked and received at the time. So if anything, it’s going to be worse than SL, right?

(the prepatch event quality has little correlation to the actual expansion)

Just curious did you dislike WoD even when the content was current and fresh, or just when they let it languish for a year with nothing new? I thought the first half of the expansion was fairly good.

WoD is not as bad as SL or DF. It had a good returning player experience.

And if it gave us Mythic+ instead of Player Housing it would’ve actually been a banger expansion.

I disagree in every way possible.

Expansions are more than singular halfs.

WoD is not bad, as long as you forget how bad it was by having nothing to do.

At least DF has a new class/race. Even if it is the worst one of all time it’s better than nothing.

Same thing I do every expansion. Level, run random BGs. Then run arena’s for a bit until I quit.

WoD was pretty good for that.

DF is the most sterile expansion released to date imo. There is literally nothing to do except end game content.

At least SL had covenant things to farm. I get people hating SL, I don’t get the people that like DF.

The conversation was about the expansion being bad. It would be like comparing it to only the good parts of DF and not talking about the rest.

The content WoD did have was fun, but there was so little of it that it made the entire expansion horrible.

I prefer my expansions not to be based around “until I quit” by adequately giving me things to do.

What if people like end game content?

Because I have things to do in DF?

It will not be as bad as systemlands but this expansion has more questions marks than WoD heading into it…
