I chose to play forsaken for the casting and dancing animations tbh. The new rigs aren’t my favorite though, but I think they could be improved with an upright option.
All my mains are undead due to Undead being bullied. Horde doesn’t trust us, alliance hates us. And we haven’t found our place yet in the world. It’s relatable for many many people on its backstory
I played the Scourge a lot in WCIII.
Also, it’s the only way you can play a Lordaeron Human in WoW. Undead or otherwise.
My main is a Human Death Knight, so yeah, she’s undead too.
That’s the internet in 2024. Everyone is crying and begging for others to feel outraged for them. I’m so over 2024.
But to the question: no that is not why I chose the Forsaken. Helping Mama Syl get her revenge upon Arthas was why I chose Forsaken. Burning down the tree and causing mayhem was just a bonus.
That makes sense and I know plenty of people can relate.
I also wanted to point out that they have the best racial mounts by a huge margin, imo. Excluding the newer allied races.

Get killed, raised as undead, did awful horrible things as a mindless undead beast, break free of the control, try to go home to loved ones with your mind now back to normal, get chased/hunted down like monsters instead of being able to reconnect with loved ones.
So now they angy and decide a little revenge is okay as a treat.
I find that most people who play Undead either like it because they like the whole “heavy metal” aesthetics or they just want to play an evil character.
I myself mained Undead for many years because I have an affinity with dark aesthetics in general. Zombies, Demons, tentacle monsters, etc. I like that stuff, even though I’m a goody two-shoes lol
I play them because they are spooky. It’s not much deeper than that.
Yah that’s a good point. I chose undead because people dislike me irl, family issues, and everyone who’s undead? I can vibe with on the RP servers. Whoever did the character swing on Undead needs a gold star or a promotion. Because it’s 100% relatable for majority of people who play them

Yeah it finally updated for me the other day and seems to be updating for everyone else slowly. However, she hasn’t updated on my tablet yet.
Has nothing to do with the internet in 2024. It’s relatable that’s all. People have troubled childhoods or whatever the reasoning they can play Undead. The undead community is extremely tight knit on RP Servers because the back story matches us.
You can be mad at the world…… but undead is a very very pivotal part on why we still play WoW.
