Is THIS the light vs. void expac

People have been talking about a great “light vs. void” war expac for a while. I don’t think that makes sense as an exclusive theme for an expansion, but will happen in the context of something else.

Anyway, I bring this up because of all the void-y hints around this expac:

Some examples include, 1) The Black Empire quest line, 2) in the latest Tyrhold questline, the robot essentially tells you the purpose of the dragons and the whole place is to “fight… void…”, 3) off the coast of the Waking Shore, underwater, in a very random spot, as a pile of gold with an old god style eyeball sitting on it (really coo ngl), 4) unconfirmed, but I have seen people saying they have heard old god whispers in the Azure Span.

Could there be a Fifth Old God we see this expac? What other examples of void or old god lore/hints have people found so far?

If anything it would be Order Vs Void.

I thought this was the Captain Planet expac.

How is it Power Rangers? We’re fighting Earth! Wind! Water! Fire! and we, the players, are obviously heart so we’re going to summon something. Captain Murozund I guess.

It is Power Rangers except there’s a female Red Ranger for once

On one hand, I hope so because just fighting different colored primals the whole xpac sounds boring. but on the other hand, I want the order vs. void to be pretty grand. if they just sneak it into 10.3 ill be disappointed.

So far this expansion has been Order vs Reality(?) with a hint of vs Void in the future.

EDIT: Elementals aren’t Life.

I have a theory that Blizz is systematically rehashing themes/central villain types.

Vanilla - BFA = Faction War centric
BC - Legion = Demon/Legion centric
Wotlk - SL = Undead/Death/Lich King centric
Cata - DF = Dragon centric
Mop - Next Xpac = Old God/Light vs Void centric?

I’m rather worried it’ll occur at Three-Falls Lookout as something is spooking the worms from deep underground.

Does that mean the talking book?

I have no idea. Tbh, I am a little suspect about the void-in-azure-span claims. I feel like I would see way more/video proof or something like that.

Someone said they weren’t using the legion artifact appearance or anything when it happened that would cause it otherwise. I don’t think they’re straight up lying, but there may be a simpler explanation.

However, if it is indeed true that in very rare circumstances players will hear the void in the Azure Span, then that is really cool.

Might plant the seeds for it but this is more a “Beach episode” We’re here on the Isles, getting sun-tanned. relaxing, playing a little Volleyball, putting down ancient insane elementally infused Proto-dragons with a massive chip on their shoulders.

Literally just chilling right here.

Yeah could be. I know I have heard them say several times in recent months that the intention is to have storylines develop over the course of several expansions, and that you should have an idea where the story is going at the conclusion of each.

Its Power Rangers with Razzy girly being Rita

Ah, Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. Was at Gamestop the other day and saw this box containing the Blue ranger’s Triceratops helmet and I immediately had a flashback to my childhood.
Good times.

I get the reference but I think you guys are wrong. This xpac is about elementals and dragons.

That’s Captain Planet.

I only knew one whisper which was something along the lines of fighting their siblings… I seem to have difficulty finding it. Dammnit wowhead.

At least it does hold correctly with the talking book having similar powers. Worth it to explore the quest north of camp nowhere.

There are new whispers from our quests in Ny’alotha.

I’ve just been doing a main questline in Valdrakken, and the void was mentioned in it, so I’m thinking maybe later this expansion, but Idk.

I wouldn’t consider mop to be an old god/light centric xpac. It was more exploration and dealing with local trouble with an old god underlying issue. I could definitely see this xpac being in a similar vain though. We’re helping with local conflicts and issues with the void playing a role in the background

We killed all old gods. If you read the history of wow, you will notice that it all started with. The void. Blizz is just prepping us with things that happen back in history, before they introduce the void to us.
