whats with the repeating post about pvp this and pvp that and griping nonstop about pvp / faction imbalance and what not ?
we who play on pve server have no problem at all and pvp still happening due to consensual pvp with pvp people on both sides flagging themselves and those who dont care about pvp just play as usual.
i do not understand the logic of people WHINING constantly about PVP when it is their OWN decision to roll on PvP server.
is this the face of pvp-er ? the high level ganking lowbies pvper who now scream for help when massive number of opposing faction wreck his easy day of ganking ?
Depends on whether one considers a raid running around zerging killing lowbies all day fun I guess… I don’t but hey some people have different interests I guess.
Can’t expect lowbies to like it though.
Classic is still great, but if I am in a group and a low level is questing, I tend to let him complete. When he is 60 then he will hopefully contribute to the pvp scene but as a lowbie… boring kill and not worth my time or cast bar use.
Because most the player base is from retail and don’t exactly remember or never played Vanilla as it was?
Compounded by the fact that wPvP was never like this. When the honor system launched the player base in terms of know how, and demographics was spread out. You have the core player base now, who 15 years ago were figuring it out. Then you have the smaller population of those who were around and understood the game. Now you have the majority of people who know the game, smashing on everyone - including those who are relatively new.
I think that is exactly what many expect. Wholesale ganking of lower-level players then justifying it with “PvP happened on a PvP server”. As if one-shotting someone many levels below you is really Player versus Player, about the same skill required as killing squirrels, lol.
I have no issue with a higher level player killing a lower level player. They are pvping and trying to have fun.
The issue I have is with this rollout; without BGs and with many players not yet 60 with raid gear, it’s not a matter of “whining” about being killed…the game has become unplayable.
Bliz has basically forced players into actions that have great negative consequences on non-60 players. What choice do players have? Ganking in raid groups is literally the only option they have.
So does this mean i cannot play the game until Phase 3 and BGs are released? I cannot quest, I cannot get into an instance without 20 corpse runs. I can’t kill lvl 60s.
Then there’s the people who bought into the “PvP servers are the TRUE Vanilla experience!!!” hype. If they played the game at all since its launch, they should have known better.
Ultimately if you are the higher-pop faction and you camp every single flight point in the game and every instance portal…well I don’t want to see what their BG queues will be like once people start quitting or transferring.
I suspect the majority whining about PVP (not specifically about faction imbalance. I can see their issue) on PVP servers are retailers who are used to warmode.
Gonna be a shame when all this QQ goes away in a weeks since W Pvp will die down a bit. Some people just never seen how bloody and crazy world PVP is. It’s called world PVP in Vanilla for a reason. I guess most folks are use to the Wotlk / Bc of ganking some one and flying away. Not having entire standing army’s hold a zone and torch Towns etc.
