While I do run high corruption I have noticed that only on this character do I get 2 eyes of corruption to spawn which then sometimes also seeing 2 things from beyond.
It’s kinda comical but it gets tricky because it usually spells instant death

Corruption has so many random effects to its system only N’zoth knows what its doing.
The only way to get two eyes to spawn at the same time is if you have enough corruption to cause Cascading Disaster. Drop your corruption below 60 to avoid this.

That’s what’s causing it then since I have 63 corruption. For the most part it’s fine but there are those times where I cant really do anything about it
Yep, gonna have to either find a way to lower it, or keep a Fel Rush charge in your pocket to deal with it.
Not that I think you’ll be able to do it reliably with that much corruption, but Cascading Disaster only causes you to be snared and spawn a void zone (even if there’s one already up) if the Thing From Beyond hits you. It’s fast as hell, but if you can avoid it, you won’t get the snare and void zone.
You can also stun / blind the thing from beyond, too.

I’m usually good about getting away sometimes I get lucky with procs that I end up nuking the Thing from Beyond in 1 shot. I usually use my blade dance or vengeful retreat and fel rush the rest.
Lol it’s the first character I find fun to run high corruption and not so much a hassle; my frost DK on the other hand… -_-

Good point, Fairlight. OP could build a macro for Fel Eruption that targets the Thing From Beyond. You can’t see others’ TFBs, so that’s a solid solution assuming one takes that talent. Trying to land a Chaos Nova on a fast-moving TFB is probably a wasted effort, though.
It’s been my experience that Blade Dance doesn’t help since the TFB deals magical damage, but I haven’t tested that extensively. Stunning with a macro is probably more reliable.
And of course, don’t forget that the cloak’s on-use effect will immediately remove all active corruption effects.

Corruption is honestly making me not even wanna move onto 8.3 content to be honest. Looks like a hassle.
It’s an obnoxious system. However, it is also very powerful – too powerful to ignore if you’re planning to do M+ this season, or raid in any meaningful capacity.
One 18% (Rank 3) Twilight Devastation on a piece of gear easily makes a 15-20% DPS increase for any melee.
You run too much corruption and your corruption starts looking red.
Some classes it can be as some dont have very reliable survival skills then some like the DH have a strong set of abilities that allow high corruption. Also the cloak when upgraded I have seen like 70 corruption resist on it alone then add in an essence for a total of 80 resist.
Oh man, it’s so much fun to me. Having a high dps tank build around Twilight Devastation, and then a high (27% base) verse build for survival, and then trying different combos is interesting to me. Like an extrapolation on altering one’s secondary stats to achieve a high burst build versus high sustained build, for example. Albeit on a much higher peaks/valleys kind of way.
But it does yield some…interesting things.

I pull DPS at times that makes it look like I’m a higher ilvl than 432… still cant get into +2s -_- fml
I hope TD is in next week’s rotation so I can try running TD5 without an eye
