Is this Ninja looting or just Shady?

Got in a group last night for Sunken Temple, I’m 54 mage so I port to SW and get to the dungeon portal before everyone. I’m a half bar from lvling so before the dungeon starts I’m going to try to ding.

I start kiting and killing the 45 elites and my team has almost swam there and must of just been inside Rolling range when the Precisely Calibrated Boomstick drops.

I roll need and to my horror I dont have the roll to myself 4 other rolls pop up. I didnt win and their 2 guildies basically Lol’ed me out of the group when I asked them to have a little honor.

Is the range of epic rolls greatly increased or something? If I saw something drop in that situation when I had nothing to do with the downing of the mob I dont think I’d do the same but maybe I’m the minority here.

There’s zero recourse too the whole Blacklist thing is a joke. It’s 2019 get over it is the general consensus

Its neither. They were in the party. They were eligible to receive it. They won. You lost. This would be like saying you did the most damage and therefore you should get an item off a boss since your contribution is greater. But yeah its neither, just you being upset

EDIT: upon reflection i would actually say its greasy of you to ask for it since your using some skewed means of justifying why you should get it more than anyone else

I guess, it feels different when you’re in my shoes I assure you.

Definitely old fashioned in that I actually like to earn what I get

I remember the first time anzu dropped in setthek, I rolled for it, everyone freaked out i wasnt even sure what it was, i rolled as well and it went to the worst player in the group by a mile. I googled a picture of it and i was like wow…that really sucks and the drop rate is super low. Never saw it again until i went and farmed it much later. Crit happens.

This is NOT “ninja looting”.
A BOE item dropped.
5 players rolled NEED.

Thanks for clearing that up mr referee now we can go back and play some wow

Didn’t you make a whine post just yesterday about how unfair the playerbase is towards you? lol

As for OP. If you’re in a group try to kill as little as possible when you’re in a dungeon group because this seems to be a thing that always happens, and why I think personal loot is better.

Yeah, I’m really bummed because I only ever got one Boe purple in all of my vanilla experience.

And I had the misfortune of looting my probable “only boe” this time while I was in a group

No, it was a post about how other people whine, and how their solution wouldnt change anything and classic was a perfect example of that, I would refer you to my original OP and we can discuss it more in depth in my thread if you like

Yeah, I think I was majorly “rose colored glasses” about my vanilla memories. Personal loot is definitely better IMO.

I got a boe blue while i was questing, I thought i would be rich, 24 hours later no one bought it so i vendored it for 40 silver. Feelsbadman

I read enough of it yesterday, it was nauseating enough then. I think I’ll pass on your warped justification of why you should be able to do content way under leveled for dungeons you can’t even perform in.

You most certainly did not read it if thats what you think it said, sorry nice try.

Carry on citizen

Greasy? I mean I was right by the door, and they were still swimming over. It clearly wasnt their kill and 0 effort.

I feel like the range on roll eligibilty has to have been bigger than I remember.

I guess agree to disagree

They definitely ninjad from you- you might be in a party together, but at that point you’re doing something solo, they did literally nothing to assist you in getting that drop. It’s not the same as someone who did less dps in a dungeon or didn’t fully pull their weight- in that situation they’re still part of the team doing something together.

In this case- them being there added zero to you being able to kill it, you’d have managed to do this the same if you hadn’t been invited to the party until you were all in the same spot.

That’s a pretty cut and dry example of ninja looting- frankly if they were in a decent guild they’d get booted for that.

I dont personally think its fair people use guilt tactics to roll for loot. I was running SM armory a few days ago for the 2 handed axe for enhance and the warrior messages me saying I dont mind if you roll on all this mail bro but can you pass on the axe if it drops? I was like nah sry man i dont even care about the mail the axe is the only reason im grinding this. He then went on to say how lucky i was to be the only mail in the group and that should be good enough. I didnt take the bait. I kept my eye on the prize. I told him its not my fault thats the way the system is, and TBH i didnt care about the mail since i was level 36-37 and i couldnt equip it until 40. People just need to accept the loot is RNG and let it go. its in the gods hands.

Wrong on every level and ew someone liked your post

I wouldn’t call it a “ninja loot” per say but I would defiantly say its messed up and pretty low that they rolled for something they didn’t help kill / obtain. I would have passed 100%. Sorry man

Personally if I had been in OP’s group, I wouldn’t have rolled on it.

Your own post… And you’re that wrong… Embarrassing.

You literally made the thread about being denied groups for your level and how it was similar to being denied for raider i.o. score.

It’s embarrassing for me at this point responding to you. Some people like to be wrong, they gravitate towards it and I’m sorry you’re that way.

Or some people can act decent knowing right from wrong. Super selfish to do that.
