I was doing the WQ over at Tower of Ishkdormi, which is a small window of ground where you fight mobs and collect a few artifacts. It was particularly hard to get done because this group of maybe 4 were grabbing everything in the area and tagging, a lot of the mobs turned gray before I got a chance to tag. If I fought things farther away, they’d send a player out to grab whatever I’d be fighting and I’d have to chase it. Very annoying. So, I tried going over and just aoeing around their large pile thinking, well I gotta tag something right. they start saying things to me in Spanish, I’m assuming telling me to go away or something. I ignored them because I’m getting this WQ done whether they like it or not. I also noticed later on that if I changed layers, there would still be a group there, just different player names.
Anyway, I got the WQ done but I found this encounter to be a bit annoying and I noticed other players landing and then flying away after looking at them. Does anyone else find this a bit annoying? Am I the only one?

you can report them but chances are they’re not technically breaking rules, as long as they’re not botting. someone here said earlier they tagged all the mobs those people were hitting and the group started telling them they were being reported. lol
i agree though, ive seen it several times around that elemental WQ in the plains. annoying trying to get stuff done when the mobs are all getting snagged and greyed out

Yeah I went ahead and reported for botting I guess, since that was the only option that made sense.

That was a 4x2 farm triggering a hyperspawn. 2 groups of 4 players. In this mode, everyone gets to loot everything. They were gray to you, but not them. When those are egregious enough, they’ll shut the hyperspawn down. Beyond that, it’s not against the TOS.

I don’t think bots talk yet. But I could be wrong.

A shame, well maybe with the WQ active they’ll shut it down so players can get their stuff done easier. If they want to hyperspawn farm an area that’s useless to players, they can be my guests.

yeah there is a group from illidian/area 52 that is often there - it is extremely annoying because that is a quest area. Quest area mobs end up needing to be nerfed because people have no consideration for others.

They are botting and selling gold for cash, RMT. Report early and often.

It’s annoying, and kind of hilarious. I’m not sure what kind of sick lost soul would do that hour after hour. I assume it’s asian gold farmers.
Watch them to see if any of them are acting in an automated fashion. If so, report them. If you’re not sure, report them and let Blizzard sort it out.
If they clearly are not automating and are just no-life creeps, then just feel sorry for them and move on.
