Sitting in SW, talking to the same 3 people and trying to avoid contact with everyone else like there isn’t an entire city of people doing the same?
If it weren’t for the OOC and IC drama, constantly forced racially charged conflicts, and schemes to rob and or explode some part of SW daily… this place would be such a snoozefest.
Like c’mon let’s see them hands, let’s all admit this is a good many of us when we log on.

That’s been my biggest gripe with MG-A over the years, you have a huge hub of RP but it seems like alot of people keep to their cliques. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but it can make finding interactions really tough.
I will say though that I made a Dwarf character this past week, and in the span of a week I’ve found the most interaction I’ve ever had on this server. I’ve been pretty pleasantly surprised, and the interactions have all been with great writers.
Best advice I can give for those that main MG-A is to have an open mind and branch out from your usual group.

" This is what we’ve become?"
This has always been Moon Guard. This was Moon Guard when I started playing here during TBC, it was Moon Guard when I quit during BFA, and when I came back in season 2 of Dragonflight I told myself it wouldn’t be me this time. The result? I haven’t roleplayed once since resubbing. To be honest? I’m happier than if I were engaging in ‘that’ typical kind of roleplay, you know afking in Stormwind only to tab back in from whatever brainrot you’re binging on YouTube to swap backstories and call it a conversation. But on the other hand, I’m sure the good roleplay is there. Just under a really hard shell to crack, small groups of friends that have a genuinely good time hanging out, roleplaying, and not just that playing the game beyond roleplay, but most of those small groups wind up getting one of those D-Type personalities that wanna be Queen Bee and give small groups that ‘clique’ designation that we hear all too often in the bitter words of those who’ve tried to find the diamonds in the rough, only to eat sand. I wish I had a good answer, I’ve been looking, and I still don’t.

I’m going to be honest here, Auhgag. At least for me, I don’t hang around Stormwind at all anymore because the RP quality has never been worse than it is now.
Cliques or not, there are very few people in the MG-A community whom I believe legitimately respect and adhere to the Warcraft setting in a way that matches mine, so I don’t interact.
Doubt I’m the only one.

Part of the fun for me is playing within the confines of Blizzard’s sandbox so I really resonate with this. I have ideas that push the boundaries from time to time, but that’s usually to put out feelers on how I’m understanding the lore.

I will say, if you’re tired of AFKing in SW, we do have several open world events in the works, more than free to apply to the guild. Medical facility opening in Legion Dalaran, a weekly Speakeasy tavern and Cabaret, looking for campaign officers, etc.

Moon Guard is the exact same place that it’s been for the last 15 years. The only difference is the locations in which people RP, and the themes of the RP cliques. You can look at MG in a negative light - which it is easy to - or you can look at it as a vibrant, incredibly populated server with a near infinite combination of personalities and interests.
People LOVE to be negative, but if Moon Guard ceased to exist, you would never again find the level of community and engagement in a video game in our lifetimes.

I’m curious how this works, though. Dalaran is gone. Are you just using Legion Dalaran as a setting rather than as Dalaran itself?

Yes, specifically the First to your Aid shop in Dalaran, best place I could find with actual medical equipment, any suggestions for a better location?

No, I think that’s one of the best places in the game for it, really.
If I were to offer a suggestion to an alternative, maybe less so a hospital, and more a resort focusing on Rest, Relaxation, and Healing? There are a few spots in Pandaria that’d work nicely for that. But yeah, actual medical equipment is not forthcoming in a lot of the game, especially in faction neutral spaces.
Player Housing should resolve that issue. Can’t wait!

I’m really hoping they put some vendors in all the legacy raids and dungeons for furniture and environmental assets from them, bonus if all those currencies we farmed were actually usable for that stuff.

Maybe part of it is that you have a reputation, Herne.

As opposed to say, half the server? I’m not the one who maintains a blog on third party site to post false libel on folks. Some of which was found to be doctored, nor did I dox and assault folks IRL and gloat about it on Discord.
Nor do I continue to hound and harass folks realm wide using “rep” as a disguise to stalk folks, harass them, and spread sometimes blatantly false rumors about them. All things the SLP/SCA has and continues to do. I also happen to know that the folks who run them were kicked off Epsilon for similar behavior.
I’ll admit some mistakes a year back, but I’ve done infinitely better since, which is tons more than the folks accusing me can say. I’ve moved on, they have not and will not.
I’ll be the first to say I have no idea who you are, your history or anything like that. That being said we’ve all made mistakes and burned bridges, it happens, it’s life. Sometimes you can rebuild those bridges other times you can’t. All I can recommend is keep moving forward; if you messed up, try to make amends. If you have a rep, well the only thing you can do is rebuild that rep over time. Take chances, try reaching out but respect boundaries. It’s certainly not something that will happen over night and if you have a lot of bridge building to do, it will be weird and awkward and a lot of work. But take it from someone on a similar path, it’s worth it.

What amuses me is that I have already bult a bridge, I am over it, I am on the other side of the chasm watching these people throw their stones and their spears, which they would rather do than cross the bridge themselves or, better yet, build their own. They do not know HOW to build a bridge or cross it, they know only how to burn and destroy.
In the time they are STILL lingering on their old grudges with most of MG, I’ve already remarried IC, have a family coming with housing at the end of the year, and have a semi-thriving business to run IC. Meanwhile… gestures to the mega-conglomerates of guilds gone rotten “Still stagnating and spitting venom.”
I would even forgive some of them, invite them into the guild, but the thing is, like the scorpion in the Navajo parable of the frog and the scorpion, that which must sting by nature will.
You can’t control people, only yourself. All I can tell you is keep moving forward, don’t get hung up on what other people are doing and try to rise above it. Gotta shed the resentment, gotta let go of the grudges, it’s all you can do. Let folks do their thing and you do you, if you mesh you mesh. If not cherish the folks you got and don’t sweat the folks you don’t.

You’re a half step away from being a human male paladin, therefore your opinions are invalid.
Sorry man, I don’t make the rules.
