I’m leveling a paladin through TWD. Just doing it to get to cap. Not a paladin main, never will be. Just kinda wondering if I’m missing a spell. Here’s how I’m doing it
Holy shock when I’m healing on the move
Flash of Light when I’m not moving
Eternal Flame to spot heal
Holy Prism when I think of it, and then I just run in and Consecration when the mobs are stacked.
I “blessing of sacrifice” for my tank on CD. You are missing a lot of damage spells, and those are important because many have a healing component to them. You seem to not be mentioning a lot of spells, :(. Don’t forget your Beacons, they will do a lot of passive healing for you.
Are you trying to be a “cast-adin” instead of a melee healer? Holy Paladins need to be in the thick of things swinging their sword and throwing their shield to be effective. A Holy Paladin who is playing in a melee spot is going to out-heal a castadin.
Throw in Judgment and Crusader Strike and that’s pretty much it. Holy Prism and Divine Toll are quite strong and have short CDs so don’t be shy about using them often. Avenging Crusader has a 1 minute CD which is also short, I use it rather than the default Avenging Wrath. The Lightforged Blessing talent on the base paladin tree is notable because it heals for a percentage of health, not a set amount. It lets you be a lot more aggressive with Shield of the Righteous since you’ll get more total healing from that than you will Eternal Flame if you’re up with the tank.
