#showtooltip Soothing Mist

Is that one macro or two?
2 macros for 2 different spells
I was wondering if I used those for a spell if it woudl work? what do you thik is it similar to your heals and spells?
If they are two separate macros, they will work.
I might do it like this, though:
#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help,nodead] Soothing Mist; Soothing Mist
That way if any of the conditions fail, you’ll cast it on your target or yourself instead of failing to cast.
You can also use [mod:] to use multiple spells. So if you bind this macro to the “1” key, you want 1 to be Soothing Mist and Shift+1 to be Vivify:
#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift][@mouseover,help,nodead] Vivify; [@mouseover,help,nodead] Soothing Mist; Soothing Mist
Tell you truth, I only use one marco for targeting and it’s /targetenemy separating target and enemy doesn’t work.
oo that makes sense. and you are a MW too
I was worried with all these mists spells it woudl be rough to use MO macros, do you find it still beneficial? i heal in ffxiv but 90% of my heals are MO (in that game thats bad but it makes healing more fun for me)
i guess we dont have a aoe heal like effo so MO should be fine with mists right?
Yup, you don’t have any AoE heal that needs to be placed anywhere on the ground, but for the record, there is a macro option for that was well:
#showtooltip
/cast [@cursor] Efflorescence
I use that for Jade Serpent Statue
#showtooltip
/cast [@cursor] Jade Serpent Statue
Anyway, as long as you can track your Renewing Mists, using moustovers should be fine. Alternatively, you could always get an addon like Vuhdo, so you have a grid of unit frames and you use your mouse buttons to cast. I mean, you can even use mouseover macros with that grid.
If you have any questions or need help getting anything set up, feel free to hit me up!
thanks I have a few but I should play it out first doa few dngeons then see what my questions are. I have read the icy veins section as well.
of the 4 main heals we have or 5, excluding vivy can you tell me what they are ideally for like vivify i kno is single target bread and butter heal
renewing mists = hot
sooting mists = hot
i can have these on multpe targets? seems there isnt much diff between the two other than one helping my vivify more
essence of font is my “effloscence”
and rivival is my oh crap party heal
do I have those right?
So Renewing Mist is generally something you want to cast on CD. Every target who has your Renewing Mist on them gets healed whenever you cast Vivify on anyone, so it helps you heal several people at once.
Soothing Mist is your basically-free single target heal. It lets you cast Vivify and Enveloping Mist instantly. Soothing Mist can only be on one target at a time (although if you have Jade Serpent Statue, it will channel a second one onto your target and keep channeling even if you stop).
Enveloping Mist is your very strong single target heal. It’s expensive, but it heals for a lot and it increases all your healing done to the target by 30%. You almost always want to cast Soothing Mist on the target and then use it to instantly cast Enveloping Mist on them (it’s quicker/more efficient than just hardcasting it).
Essence Font is your group wide heal. It costs a lot of mana so you don’t want to go overboard on it, but when used correctly, it can save your group/raid easily. There’s an interaction with mastery that I’ll get into at the end.
Revival is your instant raid-wide CD. It heals for a lot and it instantly dispels all magic, disease and poison effects. Don’t be afraid to use it to dispel if you really need to (e.g., if Zanazal the Wise’s Poison Nova does not get interrupted).
The other thing you should really be aware of is your mastery. Mastery causes Vivify, Enveloping Mist and Renewing Mist to all instantly heal the target for an amount based on your mastery rating. Soothing Mist also has a chance per tick to proc mastery.
Now, Essence Font fires bolts around that heal nearby allies instantly and then puts a HoT on them for 8 seconds. Anyone who has the Essence Font HoT on them will get healed by your mastery twice. In M+, I often cast Essence Font specifically for the double mastery, it’s insane.
Also, Thunder Focus Tea! You want to use that as often as possible. You’ll use it with Renewing Mist or Vivify most often (TFT gives Renewing Mist an extra 10 sec duration, and it makes Vivify free to cast), but you can use it with Enveloping Mist in a pinch to get a burst heal.
Hopefully that all helps a bit. Let me know if you need anything clarified!
Yeah looks right.
thanks a bunch man!
wait craz when I have renewing mists on and I cast ivify, does the vivify target one or all whoi have mist?
So when you cast Vivify, the main target will be healed no matter what. And then anyone who has Renewing Mist on them will also be healed for around 2/3 of the main target’s heal. This also means that if the target has Renewing Mist, they’ll get two heals.
One important note, though: while applying Renewing Mist to a target procs Gust of Mists (mastery heal), only the main target of Vivify gets the mastery heal. The Vivify “cleave” heal does NOT proc it.
So basically: Vivify will always heal your main target and then heal everyone who has Renewing Mist.
thats neat, thanks
you think mw is an easier or slightly more diffcult healer to pick up compared to others. still assume holy priiest is most “straightforward”
mw monk after reading nad seein gthings and understanding seems les daunting than I thought
Well, one of the weaknesses of Mistweavers is that they lack really good externals. We have Life Cocoon, which did just get buffed and is much better than it was, but that’s it.
So in that way, Mistweavers tend to need to plan ahead a bit more and be ready to pump out heals quickly. Once you learn how to effectively do that, it’s really a lot of fun, in my opinion.
I have every healer at 120 and Mistweaver is my favourite.
I tried the healer thing and when things go bad I get way to nervous but my wife is a healing champ
with rising mists, does my RSK just do hels or do I need to channel them still?
explain it to me simply because im not sure i get it lol
