Yeah, he’s reiterated it a bunch of times too.
Yes, I believe people can demand someone be kicked in the middle of an m+ key else they won’t play anymore.
For any reason.
And that would not fall under gameplay sabotage.
I did
He demanded I kick the guy about 3-4 times while not moving. Then whispered me and said
“Can you read??”
So I kicked him and bricked the key. Wasn’t worth the hassle and I didn’t want to kick someone that didn’t do anything wrong. It was an accident.
I dont know where you got that from, I know of many people from both realms that completely understand and speak english, they just choose not to. I dont think they need your protection by insinuating they simply dont understand when they do, they just ignore you when you speak english and move on with their lives. which is a skill I wish some on the forums would master.
If were talking about somebody intentionally griefing somebody, sure. That’s justifed.
But were talking about somebody accidentally pulling a dragon once. I don’t think we can really justify or find good reasons to justify accidents as something to kick over.
And on a low level M+ at that. I mean you even said this…
Gameplay sabotage it is or not, the tank was still being unreasonable here…
Ive been in the tanks shoes and while ive always had the cut my losses and finish the run it is absurdly frustrating to ppwer through a painful run. I doubt it was just the dragon being pulled it was likely an entire run of missed kicks and unnecessary deaths.
It doesn’t absolve him at all but I get it… ive had groups where I dropped the second the run was done and seethed
It also doesn’t take much to send some people flying off the handle which could have been the case with the OP.
Tank doesn’t want to play with someone, and presents a conditional offer to continue. Which, I would argue is better than outright leaving.
But most of his runs this way will likely fall apart.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
No, because it’s a literal need of one vs need of one.
The OP could’ve kicked the dps, then the run would’ve finished.
Some NPCs are programmed to be pricks like this. You don’t have the ability to reprogram them, so best to ignore and move on.
And by NPCs, I mean the soulless people we sometimes encounter in life. Until they become self aware, they’ll always be part of the system.
No, it’s a ltiteral need of one vs 4 in this instance.
The tank should just swallow their pride, and just get it over it so they won’t see the guy again. Not like they would be together again in the next run anyways.
I mean if i have my spit with somebody who accidently pulled, i would shut up, do my job, and once it’s finished, i go off on that guy.
Why do the other 3 people need that dps to be in the group?
They don’t.
The better question would be is why do you think people will kick somebody out for accidentally pulling? I mean you’re kind of missing this rather important detail here, because it just sounds like you’re making the alahon guy look like he’s the jerk here.
Accidental pulls happen all the time.
Sure, if were talking about more then once, or twice, the guy should learn by now not to do that and pay attention. But all he did was once.
The tank doesn’t want to play with someone. He presented a conditional offer.
I believe this conduct is acceptable.
It’s the group’s choice to or not to accept.
The tank also veered into unacceptable behavior - harassment.
…Which isn’t justifable if you consider the reason why he’s doing this…
It’s also the groups choice to pull for them or not, if the tank refuses to do that job.
I don’t think anybody would disagree with that.
What anybody who agrees with you won’t do is say the DPS was being a jerk, because, as OP said, it was an accident.
I mean it isn’t just finish and never see them again
It’s also the groups choice to pull for them or not, if the tank refuses to do that job.
With how many hybrids there are, kick tank, zone out, spec tank, finish.
To who?
Trivial is subjective. There have been countless ‘+2’s are too hard’ threads.
Like someone like me, it wouldn’t brick my keys. Heck my group 4 man’d a 20 and timed it last season. But guild group with one potato pug we could kick for being obnoxious.
Its different when its a full pug or a full guild group too. Which most of these posts are all randoms.
Depends on the capabilities of the group. If its right before last boss, suck it up and finish then never talk to them again.
Dungeon finder is different from premades.
And sometimes those kicks dont go through. All the more reason to speed run complete and leave group.
Its just silly to waste 4 other people’s time and your own when the easiest and fastest option is to just finish. Block/report. Go on with your day.
Its just pointless extra drama for what?
Spite is a powerful motivator.
(Usually, reserved for League of Legends. Cause you can’t leave at will there.)
