Given how rough the current state of Shaman is, you’d think we’d see some meaningful adjustments soon. Right now, we’re literally in the gutter. Sure, we get about three minutes of “fun” with cooldowns up, but even that feels underwhelming if you don’t have the Spymaster’s Trinket. I genuinely feel for all you Ele Shamans out there – damage is straight-up terrible without it. And that nerf to Arc Discharge? That was brain-dead tuning, to put it mildly.
Arc Discharge was one of the few fun aspects of the rotation, giving us a satisfying Ascendance window that actually felt impactful. Now? It’s just clunky. The Maelstrom loop is a mess, and it kills the flow of combat, making our gameplay less fun. This nerf wasn’t just a numbers hit – it broke the one window where we could actually compete, and that kills the whole experience.
Honestly, this patch might be the nail in the coffin for me this season. Keeping up is exhausting, and I’m starting to wonder: is our stat priority Haste/Crit again? Or are we chasing something else entirely? I don’t know – and that’s the problem. These mid-season nerfs completely wreck the desire to play because nothing feels stable.
If I were Blizzard, I’d go for a buff-only mindset for the rest of the season. No one has less fun when they’re buffed! But these constant nerfs? They’re catastrophic for the class, the players, and any sense of balance mid-season. Let us play, Blizz.
