As the title states. Are there (or will there be) proccing of extra potions and flasks in SL for Alchemists? Thanks in advance.
It doesn’t look like there are ranks anymore, so unless it’s a separate ability, I’m assuming no.

I made a bunch of new heal potions and didn’t notice any procs.
Also made different BfA flasks and those proc’d just fine.
BfA had ranks. Shadowlands does not. That’s why BfA stuff procs.
The heal potions in BfA didn’t have ranks, did they? Those proc’d too. Maybe we’ll get some kind of quest later.
I’m pretty sure they did. I think everything did. I’ll check later.
I’m finding shadowlands alchemy…not worth it. It appears that if I’m playing a strength class I can’t craft agility and intelligence flasks anymore. Maybe I’m overlooking something. I really hope I am.
What about elixer and potion mastery? The whole point of me leveling 3 toons to max recently was to have one with each, and I just spent 40k on mats leveling their alchemy to their repsective masteries. Did I just waste all that time and gold on nothing? The ability says that you have a chance to create an extra elixer/potion, and if that doesn’t apply to Shadowlands I’m going to be very upset.
Alchemists still get double duration on flasks when they consume them, which is very valuable without even considering the once-a-day transmutes.
Shadowlands recipes do not proc duplicates.
Specifically only if they are wearing or have in their inventory an Alchemist stone.
The power flask gives main stat depending on class/spec.
Explain? You do not need the stone for double duration flasks.
Yeah, I don’t see any additional ranks and I have yet to proc a single extra potion. I think that system is a thing of the past with BFA. There isn’t even an update to our alchemy tool, hell even our alchemy stone trinket is pretty much trash.
Pretty sure that only applies to the base profession and nothing in any expac. Could be wrong though. It definitely hasn’t applied to expac stuff in some time.
I was referring to the double effectiveness of the healing potions.

That makes me very, very upset… So much invested for nothing more than additional shadestone transmutes…
Is there a new version of elixir and potion mastery? Because the old one only applies to that expansion.
I was never familiar with it, for the longest time i only had a 120 transmute master and a 78 elixer master for Vial of the Sands. I had always thought that something like that that seemed to span both Cata and MoP included all expansions. So I invested a lot of time and gold making all three of them 120/50 and leveling their alchemy. Guess that was a waste.
The mastery was only for that expansion. Each expansion had their own version of it. Mastery, the star system, etc. They didn’t carry forward.
I don’t know of anything like those in Shadowlands. Yet. They may implement it later for all we know.
There are no procs and currently (on my server) the potions sell under the cost of the herbs it uses. Love it. Hopefully it actually becomes profitable when raiding comes out.
