Just curious . Which timezone has the most people that play wow on? is it equal or is there more on one zone than the other?
Not trying to be a troll or anything , just curious as to which zone has the most or no one knows? I am on Pacific zone and it seems to me to the the last to be filled up before the others, or am I just being biased?

Chicago is closer to more people. So more people choose Chicago as there go to server for online gaming. I disagree with that, but it is what it is.
The problem with Chicago is even assuming the latency is equal. LA has far less jitter on the line. They also have more reliable latency.
There is also the fact that latency per mile mile distance from server is significantly lower on LA servers than Chicago Servers. The infrastructure for the internet simply makes that a reality, western infrastructure tends to be newer.
Bottomline Chicago is king for population. However in avg latency per user, and avg reliability it is far worse. However people are still stuck in the philosophy that Chicago is the better avg for everyone. When it really isn’t.

The PST data center is in Cali. The EST ones are in Chicago which is in the central time zone. It reaches more people.
