I am rank 10 60%, if I were to gain 0 honor this week, would I decay inside of rank 10? Or stay where I am at now? Seen some conflicting info so wanted to clarify
You cannot go below the milestone you are currently at, but if you were to say, only do 100k honor when the next milestone required 170k you would lose that 100k honor and stay where you are.

Confirming what rockdwarf said, no decay in anniversary.
But more than that the whole pvp system is different it instead of pvping to gain honor to get into a high bracket to overcome the weekly 20% decay, now you have to grind honor to reach specific milestones that give rank progress
When they first switched from the bracket system to the current threshold system you could decay down to 0% in your current rank. That was later removed.
Just to make sure I understand, and these numbers are only sample numbers, not real:
Let’s assume this week on Tuesday I’m rank 8, 0%, and I need 100k honor to reach rank 9.
If I don’t get 100k honor by next Tuesday, and instead get 80k honor, are you saying that by next Tuesday the 80k honor I gained disappears, poof, goes up into smoke or some black home somewhere, and I have to try to get 100k honor all over again?

Yes thats exactly how it works. You cannot drop below rank 8 and 0%, but unless you hit a milestone you lose honor gained that week.

"When we updated the PvP honor system in patch 1.14.4, our changes were focused on making it so that we no longer needed the old PvP Honor system script, eliminating ranking points, and removing de-ranking due to decay. As we look to the future, we’ve carefully considered the role of decay in today’s Honor system and how it interacts with increasingly competitive Honor requirements in higher ranks.
As a result, we’ve arrived at the decision to disable Honor decay in Classic Era and Season of Discovery. This will become effective starting with scheduled weekly maintenance (on December 5 in this region).
When the weekly Honor rollover occurs on December 5, you will no longer decay due to having not met the minimum Honor requirements for your rank. Please note that decay is not the same as the penalties incurred by earning dishonorable kills, which is now the only way a player can lose rank progress.

yes and no there may be a milestone in between, but yes if you don’t reach a milestone you only get the rank up to the previous milestone.

It says Classic Era and SoD though, is Anniversary considered as either?
As far as I know, anniversary servers use the current era honor rules.
This post predated anniversary, the anniversary announcement bluepost confirmed the same ranking system as era/sod
To be clear and more complicated.
Honor is a week to week point system. It resets to 0 at maintenance on Tuesday.
Contribution Points(CP) are what determine your current rank. They no longer decay. They are only lost when you get a dishonorable kill. You get an instantly applied reduction in CP, this can lower your current rank.
Your weekly honor determines if you gain CP for that week. There are honor cutoffs by rank that determine how much CP you will gain. If you don’t meet the threshold you do not gain CP.

I just wanted to clarify for the record that it is possible to de-rank; dishonorable kills are still capable of doing so.
So if you are currently at 60% into rank 10 you can’t decay below that?
not through weekly decay.
though as the above poster pointed out you can derank from dishonorable kills
There is no rank decay and if you want to make the system a whole lot easier to understand get the Ranker and Rank Marshal addons
