Is there even a point in starting fresh next week?

Mega server isn’t necessarily a derogatory term. If it’s a mega server then it’s a mega server. Why does calling it what it is make it derogatory?

My server is far from a ghost town. We have an awesome community without all the problems of a mega server. The difference is my server is the size of a vanilla server. The supply can actually meet the demand. There’s not 10k people on a server meant for 5k.

It is used as a pejorative.

HFP which is tuned for 58’s in bad gear is a complete gear reset that will quickly bring you up to par with MC/ZG/AQ20 gear. And by 70 everything including NAxx gear is pretty much replaced.

So yeah you’re fine starting now.

Not in all cases. I never mean it negatively. I use it to describe pop size and nothing more.

Not to mention all the people rerolling who don’t have naxx gear on their new toons.

There is a community of people requesting fresh, non-boosted servers. I realize you said classic was not really your favorite content - and without friends, I would happen to agree.

Though the leveling would be faster due to the XP change mechanics and quest increased xp. Additionally, each faction would have all classes, and the TBC talents would be in play making some of the classes dramatically different, such as paladins and druids.

Anyway, you might consider supporting the fresh server initiative. Otherwise, boosting and playing catchup will be your only choice. There may some “new” servers as well depending on the population surge caused by TBC launch. Who knows?

Newsflash, tons of people will be re-rolling blood elves and space goats and will all be starting from level 1.

Not sure if this is a troll thread or not. You can boost to 58, jump right into outlands on any class and quest to 70 just fine.

There is no such thing as “being behind” in TBC.

But what about space elves? Blood Goats?

This is legit that tier 3 is replaced immediately at 70? Some people said tier 3 is better than some of the season 1 PvP gear, which is bs if true.

It’s within the realm of possibility that so many people will be levelling tankadins that healers will be in short supply.

If that happens, use that 5g to repsec heals (edit: and kill some bears so you can afford your flight).

There are a handful of pieces of t3 well really level 60 raid gear that are decent into level 70 content. The vast majority is replaced and all of it very early into level 70 content.

Stop being worried with what everyone else has. Not sure why people are so obsessed with what other players have done.

Immediately at 70? No. But Naxx gear lacks stats, particularly stamina so level 70 gear often gives about the same level of dps stats (crit, hit, etc.) but also more stats. Some pieces still hold their own in raids dps wise.

Tbh, the gear doesn’t matter. The gold issue, while problematic, is less bad than people make it out to be. Just play the game at your own pace it’s 15 years old no need to stress over it.

Only a few naxx items last until tier 4 (mainly trinkets).

It is not a big deal. TBC ends up a complete gear reset from classic

I would so rock a space elf.

I really want to play a blood goat now

Imagine the evil role play possibilities of a blood goat.

This assumes that the player won’t be able to provide goods to the people paying these prices so they can pay these prices to afford other goods.
