Like, I literally don’t know, so I’m curious.
I ask because in order to get -every- Sanctum Upgrade, it requires 49 weeks of the 5 Souls Quests.
If there isn’t catchup, that means alts will fall gravely behind on souls for sanctum upgrades unless you speedrun them to 60 now to get started on them.
Considering there’s a ton of unique rewards locked behind the sanctum upgrades, and 4 covenants, it would be silly to not have some sort of catchup for souls.
Likewise, players who start the game late would have to wait 49 weeks after they start their main to upgrade their sanctum to max.
*This is by no means an issue with how long it takes. A year to upgrade everything is what I would expect. This is strictly speaking about alts and players joining Shadowlands later than others. Without catch-up, that seems excessively punishing.

At Renown levels 15, 24, 32 your Soulkeeper gets an upgrade, so you can get more Souls weekly. I don’t know how much more, but that’s the only catchup that exists.
Oof. I mean, there’s catchup in Renown, so at least that will benefit alts/new players to a degree with the souls, I guess.
I thought they were going to implement one, but it may not come until later on in the expansion
I just got 10 Souls as a reward from the bonus quest in Torghast. Had to help an NPC find his sword. Not sure how often it can be gotten though.
Sadly those 10 souls are the ones for Torghast which give you +1% main stats per soul during the run.

Ohhh, well crap I got all excited lol.
I did the exact same thing last week, went to upgrade one of my things saw my soul count hadn’t changed and then it clicked for me.
