Is there anywhere to go for guides on dungeon builds?

Every site I look at is like ‘here is the correct build and rotation for single target tanking in raids’ and like, I wanna tank dungeons. All the paladin builds I saw were like ‘dont even take consecration’ which seems crazy.

umm not sure if there are “dungeon” guides to be honest.

if you play a shaman i might be able to help you though if you want.

most of what a guide would be though is kinda universal though.

full t1 would be more than enough or even just a few pieces here or there for whatever bonus you can get.

as per rotation , again its kinda straight forward.

maybe a bit more information on what class youre looking for and i can look some stuff up for you?

oh wait you said pally.

hmm gimme a few and ill look up some stuff.

thats a p4 guide so it probably might be a bit outdated on gear but the gear in it would be very ez to get due to the real vendor.

should be good enough for you though.

Just play like you like. Read abilities, test stuff out, think for yourself. Stop letting others tell you how to play the game lol

Meta slaves are the worst npcs

Yeah, the guides for SoD that I’ve seen always update for the newest content. It’s hard to dig up past phase bis lists too when you’re fresh 60 and want to know gear options b4 you can even run current raid content. I can’t even find a frost mage rotation on wowhead even though they have a gear build for it, will only show fire rotation… :upside_down_face:

For dungeon builds/questions, I’d recommend joining that class discord and asking for advice on your current situation and what talents/runes to take.

Just search “wow class discords” on google and the top webpage result should list all the discords, including the classic ones where you usually have the SoD channels included.

So basically hammer of the righteous mixed with taunt mixed with holy shield are enough for paladins to hold AoE threat

Not having to waste points in holy now allows you go further into the ret tree, which allows you to boost your melle damage. Which all round its better gameplay in my opinion

This is a valid question and it’s a shame that all the guides are incentivized around parse culture. That being said theres kind of a rabbit hole of how to modify your threat/damage/mitigation profile on tanks in SoD because of the rune system- at the end of the day nothing will beat spending 15 minutes looking at your rune/talent kit and thinking about how to do [insert desired content] with those tools. I highly encourage testing runes or talents you may have heard are bad as they all generally have their place in some situation.
