Is there anyway to speed up the fishing bar?

I do a lot of fishing.
I never thought I would, but I ended up becoming that guy.
I enjoy leveling my toons when I have the chance.
I fish for volatile fire and water.
I fish for Darkmoon Daggermaws – to sell for the mount, firewater and pets.
I fish for Albino Cavefish for the Vial of the Sands.
I am planning on fishing a long time for some of the mounts that come out of the water that are insanely, “low drop”

Is there any enchantment, equipment, potion or elixirs that make that bar move faster to make things more efficient?

I’m guessing not, because I’ve never seen anyone frequently casting faster that normal. However, these exist for mining and herbing, so I figured i’d ask.

It’s a nice idea but no, sadly.

I can’t recall if the legendary fishing rod in Legion sped up cast time…I don’t think so.

I’ve often thought an enchant of some sort or a bait that sped up the cast time would be very popular. Suggest it to 'em. :fishing_pole_and_fish:

darkmoon crates drop a potion (darkmoon firewater) that increases gathering skills i see my fishing bar speed increase when i use these, or its just in my head

Those are for mining, I didn’t think they applied to fishing.

I believe you are affected by wishful fishing there, Magey. As far as I am aware, it only affects primary gathers (ie mining and herbing) although there is some belief that it may also speed up archaeology. I haven’t tested that so I’m not sure. If it does speed up fishing, its barely noticeable.

im sure it works for fishing the tooltip is included in wowhead fishing guide and is obtained by fishing up crates or mabey its all in my head

Looks like the oversize bobber is my best bet.
At least it makes it easier to fish, and you’ll basically never miss a cast.

I have made several recommendations that could improve fishing as your skill improves, and faster catches were one of those things. Targeted casts was another, with the accuracy improving as your skill increases (imagine a ground targeted spell, where the size of the target area reduces as your skill increases). Since fishing feels the same at max level as it does when you first start, it’s quite boring.

I’m hoping for fly casting and waders, beautiful fly bobbers and faster bar times and…
