Is there any way to move faster?

I have every class, except for Paladin, at various levels that I play. However, DK feels the slowest by far. Is it always gonna feel like my movement speed is slower than a 90 year old with bad knees? Bear Tartare used to be a work around but it was nerfed so badly it might as well not even be in the game anymore. Also is there any reason that ever since their introduction in Wrath that DKs are so slow?

It’s a part of the design for DKs to lack mobility. It was intended to be this way.

Except the tradeoff wasn’t there. We are supposed to move slow and hit hard, the slow moving part is true enough, but DPS wise we are no where near the top.

They really screwed DKs over when they took away Wraith Walk from baseline and made it into a talent. Should never have happened.

You have a 70% speed increase, and a 30% speed increase ability that you can use.

DK’s are meant to be slow. That’s their design. Think of Arthas. Have you ever seen that dude run as a DK? Once maybe, during his fight with Illidan. Since becoming the Lich King he’s slow. He even has a boss encounter in one of the Wrath dungeons where he literally walks toward you while you try to escape.

He’s Michael Myers, he’s Jason Vorhees. He’s the monster that’s stalking you. Always moving toward you. Slowly, terrifyingly. And if he catches you, you know you’re going to die.

DK’s are the embodiment of that. You’re the living embodiment of fear and death. You don’t need to run quickly. You bring people to you instead of you going to them.

You have your death grip, and chains of ice. (Which is actually quite OP.)

That’s just how DK’s are. They’re slow, and they have massive swings that deal lots of damage. (Obliterate procs anyone?)

If you want to be quick, go play a Rogue, Hunter, or Demon Hunter.

If you’re complaining that it takes too long to go from mob to mob while questing… Use a mount. Gather 10 mobs, and then kill them all. Or use your movement abilities. You have two of them.

There is an extremely viable way to move faster… choose any of the top tier dps specs in the game. They all move faster and hit harder. Enjoy.

That all said. I love DK and am making it happen despite move speed being low.

Anyone else laugh when titanforging gets taken away and replaced by a system that specifically punishes DKs more than any other class in the game with the first piece slowing you on hit… chance or not good luck getting out of ground affects in time to not just be gum on the bosses feet all the time…

We did hit very hard, i mean we and our zoo!

Sometimes i think mage is the slowest class  i was wrong

I use engineering nitro boosts on my belt to get that odd speed boost.

Also carrying around some Swiftness potions can help considering having an alt with Alchemy can make them for me.

We have Wraith Walk (a bloody talent ffs…) and Deaths advance to move faster, we have chains of ice which is a ranged slow on a melee class, we have death grip, and we have mind freeze, a ranged silence on a melee class. We dont exactly need to be fast to be useful.

In PvP I agree with you, I don’t often find slowness to be too much of an issue (even without Wraith Walk), except when I need to chase after classes that can’t be slowed like DHs and monks.

In PvE though, it’s painful when you are running a M+ for example and you can’t keep up in pace sometimes.

I would agree with you in terms of class fantasy, but when the game mechanics favor high mobility and again we don’t particularly hit harder (in fact weaker in some cases), the tradeoff isn’t there.

You may not have the mobility, but you literally take it away from others. That’s your trade off.

If you want a fast class, pick a fast class. If you want a slow class that makes others slow; you have the Death Knight.

What like your four teleports? Your infinite slow? Your constant freezes and polymorphs? Your dispels? What do you mean “you literally take it away from others”? Every class has a way to do that.

Runeblade of baron rivendare, 5% movespeed gem, 3% movespeed gem, speed set, 2 long strider traits and 1 deaths advance trait, bear tartare.

You can be at 130-40% permament movespeed, up to 150-70 when deaths advance is up.

You have an infinite slow too, you also have a pull at your disposal, you have stuns, silences.

Mages only have access to 3 teleports if they’re arcane, at which point they don’t really have the freezes. It’s one or the other.

And if I freeze you, and move away, you can freeze me, and walk up to me. Frost Nova has a CD. Chains of ice doesn’t. If I blink, you pull me right back to you.

No

That’s Blood

Displacement is a teleport and it resets Blink or one charge of Shimmer.

No

Once, every 30 seconds. Blink’s cooldown is half that.

“Walk” is usually what I’m doing when fighting mages.

Three potential stuns. All of them are talents. Two of them are PvP talents and spec-specific, and they are both horrible for anything outside of massive BG flag fights.

That’s not how the game works. You have the spell. You are able to use it. It almost sounds like you are inadvertently making the case that Arcane has so many teleports it won’t even have to use the Freeze.

EDIT: Blood’s silence is a PvP talent, and Unholy has a 1-2second pet stun.
