Most likely! Though I believe the higher your cloak is, the less you’ll see it, because you can counter it.

Just raise your cloak corruption resistance… Or take corrupted gear off. Or cleanse it.

Because both of those completely wreck your toons power. The OP is looking for a cosmetic change to remove the horrid blue graphical effect.

I would imagine they aren’t planning to stay at 4/12, therefore power really is their concern.

You chose to wear that filthy corrupt gear and now you complain that you are filthy. But seriously though, I don’t like the effect either and I just “avoid” corrupted gear so I don’t see the effect on myself. By avoid I mean that I have not looted any.

They’re a casual. Casuals don’t need the best gear. If appearance is their concern, they can just take off the gear or cleanse it. The mechanic is in the game for a reason.

They aren’t asking for the best gear. They are asking to remove a horrible visual effect.

The problem for casuals is that they are forcing the corrupted effect on any new and updated sources. So someone who relies on upgrading via Emissary Equipment like the Tortollan’s Rings and Trinkets or Weapon Emissary, it could be useful or Corrupted wasting their upgrade.

You can remove the corrupted effect from any item. I have 23 corruption. I don’t see any particles on myself.

I kept my old gear and when the inkyness gets too much, I swap it out for a few minutes then put it back on.

Takes awhile for the dark stuff to come back.

How about for players who really don’t want to do the Cloak quest line, you can’t actually cleanse Corrupted items until you get the Cloak and do Horrific Visions. Corrupted Mementos don’t start appearing as a currency until you get that far in and are needed to cleanse corrupted items.
