Is there any way to get your sparks back if crafted wrong item?

Is there any kind of deconstruct option if you made the wrong thing? I accidently made an Int 2hander for my warrior. zug zug D: i want my sparks back, I don’t even care about the primal choas.

I’m sorry, there is not :frowning:

It is a bit too easy to make that mistake. They used to (I thought) delineate a bit better between Int and Str/Agi weapons but they are super similar this time around. I’ve had to catch myself twice just before buying an (Int) Hatchet of Raging Tempests when I want an (Agi) Hacker of Raging Tempests sitting right next to it at the Storms vendor with an identical icon. But that is a much cheaper mistake to fix.

Worst part is, you can’t sell the accidental item. So now I have an extra Torc that I can’t do anything with.

I wanted to follow up on here. I submitted a ticket as soon as I realized I crafted the wrong item and Blizz actually uncrafted it for me and gave me my mats back within a couple days! Thanks so much!

You actually got a response within 5 days?

I really wish they would add a recycler for crafted items like they did during BfA. I completely forgotten that set pieces are a thing again and I made armor taking up most of the tier slots. It would also alleviate the dependency on the crafting orders to get the late levels of a crafting profession.

It would be nice if you could break the item to get the Spark back.

It would be also be good for items upgraded with Valor or purchased with Conquest.

I agree there should be a way to recycle/deconstruct items at least to get the spark back. This would make it so crafters could get their first crafts done on their own too. I still have about 5 first crafts to do for items I have maxed knowledge in. If we would only get the spark and maybe primal chaos back it would still make the items sort of expensive to deconstruct because of all the other mats lost. But getting all mats back would be cool too.

This is actually stupid. As a JC I wanted to up my ilvl and JC level so I made a ring and a neck thinking you could add embellishments later by recrafting… Well after finally getting my JC and iLvl up then going to some random site with actual info on embellishments, reading this and then checking the journal it’s a completely different pattern if you want to have any useful embellishment. Worst part is they add an embellishment option for each item to bait you into thinking they’ll be useful later… To make matters even worse I went through the WoW head JC guide and through the whole Spec guide for my class on Icy Veins, I never once saw anything about embellishments while I was crafting and gearing my toon up. Dealing with a consistently buggy game and now this. There’s always next expansion

Did the same thing recently. I created the one handed instead of the two hander I wanted. Never been so mad at myself. A cautionary tale. Be sure the weapon you are crafting is indeed the one you want. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

So, on my first Mythic+ after the spark quest that now gives you a chance to get a drop for another spark… I had one drop for me. I know I got lucky, but I think as time goes on more sparks will drop for you.

I appreciated this post. Though, it appears 10 months later blizzard has reversed their position on this. I received a ticket response this morning stating that for the “integrity of the game” blanket denials will be issued for the return of sparks for incorrect crafts.

That kind of disrespect for our time and effort to the players deserves one response, cancellation of subscription, which I have done. Congrats blizzard, CS saves your game from another would-be integrity wrecker…
