I have no idea why Blizzard decided to make this more complicated than actual real world engineering.
I just want to know what specialization do I choose to make better Goggles.
Is there any guide out there that fully (and currently) explains how Engineering works?
Try Optimized Efficiency, Mechanical Mind, and Function Over Form along with sub-wheels Generalist and Gear.
Spend a lot of time, gold and effort for items that give you very little in return
That’s the bottom line
But if you are intent on doing it, don’t miss the Knowledge Point treasures in Zaralek Caverns. While there were originally only 2, they added 8 in ZC,
I don’t bother with the explaining, but I do know this much: the Gnomish Engineering specialization seems more focused on stuff that reminds you of safety equipment certified by OSHA standards, while the Goblin Engineering specialization seems to be more focused on making various kinds of guns, rockets, and explosive ordnance. I have a Gnome mage with Gnomish Engineering on the Alliance side of things, and I’m using my Goblin Hunter with Engineering (working up to Goblin Engineering spec) to post this.
Those aren’t the specializations he’s talking about
