I came back to the game and I’ve been looking for a new main. I know voidform was disliked but I actually enjoyed it a lot.
Is there any spec in the game with a similar playstyle?
I just really enjoyed it and miss it

I’ve been playing multiple alts and I can’t find one that interests me. They’re all fine during CDs, but once the CDs are gone, it’s so bland.
Voidform made me feel like I was in a CD or burn phase at all times, and was very good at keeping my attention
Now I’m not sure what to play 
Maybe Blizz could bring it back in some way. It was so unique and fun. I’m really sad to see it gone

I find current frost mage provides some of the essence of old void form with the icy propulsion conduit. Icy veins gives 30% haste for a duration of time, and ice lance hits (with fingers of frost or into winters chill) will extend the duration of icy veins. So there’s a bit of a fight to extend icy veins as long as possible with it.
I think current shadow void form is pretty similar. Still feels like I’m trying to stay in void form as long as possible

Nope, they removed the only unique spec left in the game and gave us a terrible version of shadowpriest. I used to main it and now its by far one of my least favorite specs.

Nope. Not even the current Fire mage spec is as hideously brokenly OP (in raids) as the old voidform shadow.
The spec is about a million times better in all other aspects of the game beacuse of its removal.

Old Void Form system was pretty dumb. Live version is gewd.

Old void form was easily the most fun spec the game’s ever had. I can barely even play SL because of how badly they dumpstered shadow 
This just means that you played shadow priest during raids.
Other people were trying to main shadow priest, and it was pretty garbage outside of raid time.

Old void form was good in Legion because the borrowed power back then was meant to work with the new reworks every class had.
BFA Blizzard kept the same class designs but replaced the borrowed power that made them good into something really bad and void form was one of the specs that got hit pretty bad.
The rework SL spriest had should’ve been done to many classes. Right now Spriests are a balanced spec, good damage, ok utility, good for all kind of content.
But I do would like for classes to not depend that much on cds to do some dmg.

No, actually it was the only character I played during legion/BfA. Yes it was most powerful raids, but it was hardly garbage in other content. I was a fun playstyle that I wish was still around in its original legion form
You really should have tried playing another class. Any other class. Spriest actually was terrible in other content.

I never once felt that I was underperforming relative to my peers. It didn’t feel terrible at all to me. It felt amazing. Granted I only dabbled a tiny bit in mythic raiding and didn’t push keys very high (still got ksm), but that was never my thing to begin with. During that time when the forums were ablaze with complaints about VF, it always seemed to me like you guys were playing a different game. Shadow (in legion specifically) was the most fun I’ve ever had with this game and I loved the hell out of the spec. Sad it’s gone, even the butchered BfA version was more fun than what we got now
Old voidform was fun in raid when you had the 3 Shadowy Apparition azerite traits at 14/15 lvl azerite armor lvl and you had ridiculous amounts of haste. It was fun but honestly current shadow plays way better and has less of a gulf between ilvl. Spriest was weak af unless you were very geared in BFA.
Loved legion but chorus of insanity shadow needed to die. Horribly.

I miss legion/bfa voidform…in raids. It was pretty obnoxious in any pvp setting and just did not work for m+. For raiding however, it was my all time favorite raiding spec. I wish there was a talent to bring it back
