I checked normal and heroic dungeons and they’re still on season 1 junk.
Season 2 starts next week. Why would there be any s2 gear today?
isn’t it pretty standard that m0 and heroics drop a week before the actual season starts. what’s even going to be the point of m0 when everyone’s going to jump right into keys.

It has been, yes, but there have been numerous releases showing everything starts in 3/4.
With the key squish, M0 was repurposed to me what was formerly M2-10 for people that want untimed M+ difficulty.
right but it still makes this a useless week. you could typically prepare for a season via heroic, m0 and even delves for S1. Now with it all releasing in the same week it makes all the content you would normally do this week useless on season drop.

If the metric is solely about gear progression, then sure, but it is still a game, so it’s okay to just play for fun. Many people haven’t had any gear progression for weeks, if not months, so this week isn’t really any different than the ones that came before.
Yeah, it’s in the cache rewards. 623 veteran track up to 645 with upgrades, got a few but didn’t think it was worth re gem/enchants.
You also need to remember that they reverted the gear nerf to M0s, so that they drop champion track gear again. This would result in significant power gain before we even step foot into the raid or M+ next week, which is why i believe it is being timegated.

Iirc M0 also gets a weekly lockout now. Significant is a stretch. Considering the RNG as well its insignificant.
Its really not insignificant. You know that people would armor stack and feed characters the gear, then that gives them baseline 636ilvl gear that can be upgraded to 658 on season launch next week. So i would say it IS significant, because blizzard needs to account for the people who do this.
yes. the weekly chests contain s2 gear. s2 world drops are also out there, both boe and warbound.
