It feels really demoralizing playing alliance lately. I’ve played alliance for years but lately, I see less and less reason to stay alliance. They got constantly stomped in PVP, have virtually no premade PVP groups, are way behind in mythic raids, and have so few mythic+ groups it’s painful. Heck, we don’t even get cut scenes anymore for the alliance.
I don’t know how things go so bad on the alliance, but I’m not sure there’s any reason to stay alliance at this point. Does anyone think things will improve, or will Blizzard just let one of the factions die a slow death?

Yeah… look at the win rates. It’s rare to win even 10% of epic battlegrounds right now. And look at arenas. They’re pretty well all horde in the top tier now.
Come 8.3 join the rest of us Alliance rejects going Horde for the sake of our Vulpera overlords. I feel there will be a change in the force once the foxes are let loose.

I did great through WOD and Legion on this character, but things have been a crap show through BFA. I’m lucky to get a single win in epic BGs. I still do alright in random bgs but I prefer epic bgs.

Honestly not sure why anyone plays Alliance at this point, lol.
The story just gets stupider and stupider.
A two-faction system in a 12+ year old game, of course one of them will drain and die. The Horde will follow in the coming years, perhaps an expansion or few out from now, and for once WoW will be seen as actually “dying”. Ofc, the Hardcore most diehard will remain, as is always with such games.
And some new big game that fills the void will come along and everyone will play that instead.
I don’t think my reasons matter to you, but I play because I like the race of Night Elves, and I always have. I don’t care about pvp win rates, mythic progression rates, how many teams are doing mythic keys, or any other ‘group wide’ achievements. I’d care about MY mythic progress (not high enough level yet), MY raid, etc, but not the alliance as a whole. But no, I hate the look of the horde, the races except for belves don’t interest me, I despise their city layouts general architecture. I can’t focus on ‘gameplay elements’ to the exclusion of lore. And I know that’s just me, but that’s how I am and I’m content with that. And no, I’m not trying to say I’m ‘right’ or anything, I’m just expressing why I’m pretty much Alliance for Life, with one notable character exception.

Ehh i have toons on both side to see both stories. But when i was seriously raiding i go with what works for the group.
Personally factions should probably just be scrapped at this point. We are constantly having to unite against a bigger threat. And the faction war story lines are always awful.
Just make wpvp a free for all bloodbath.

The only reason to play Alliance right now is the money or time investment it would take to switch to Horde.

The best reason to be alliance is to kill horde, groups sure, 1v1? You’re the common factor lol and can pwn 3v1 gearing noobies lol.
I’d have to use horde cities, which are the worst.
If I was the last alliance player, I’d still be alliance. Boreallus would probably have a better frame rate.
I like everything more about alliance. Racials are meaningless to me, so I don’t care if people are horde for those reasons.
So if everyone was horde, do you think battle grounds/warmode would just 50/50 mercenary people? Good thing some of us are true blue.
When the raiders leave the server or faction dies.
- Do you like the colour blue?
- Do you like more traditional medieval aesthetic as opposed to the more rugged and savage look of the Horde?
- Do you like playing more “humanoid” races, or just want to be a Human?
- Do you like your faction being primarily portrayed as “the good guys” most of the time?
- Do you like a leader who isn’t trying to murder everyone?
- Do you like the colour blue?
If any of the above apply then yeah theirs reasons to stay.
