There’s some anima powers in Torghast that give you bonus damage when you use attack spells from multiple disciplines.

Fire Blast? maybe
Frost Bolt? not really, Arcane has Slow which is a insta cast that serves the purpose of slowing the target.

I don’t bind Frost Bolt but I do have Fire Blast as a nice instant to finish things off.
That and with Torghast, you can get the anima power that knocks foes up in the air with it for a second temp interrupt and the one that gives you damage boost for the other damage types when using one at 30% per power.

Yeah Fire Blast is useful to finish off targets if you dont wanna use Arcane charges or a cast
But Frost Bolt is worthless, just like the spec it comes from.

Not to mention that if I really needed it, I could just pop Mirror Images since they default to Frost Bolt.

No. Not unless you get some niche Torghast power or something.
It’s really weird how they made such a huge deal about the unprune but then made almost all of the new old skills completely worthless for the off specs. Across all classes and specs only a handful are actually worth putting on your bars. You have to wonder why they even bothered.
