Is there any point to opening lock boxes any longer?

I probably have 50-60 of them just collecting dust in my bank. Looking over the loot tables and nothing looks meaningful. Some items have some MOG value, but not much. Worth the effort to open? Been ages since I have looked, but I’m assuming it’s still just rogues and blacksmiths that can open them?

Thanks in advance.

Side note, kinda dumb these things have so little value. Even when I first started wow these things never seemed to have much value. They should make them more rare and actually be meaningful drops.

haha yea, feeling that atm. I had someone respond 100g per open. Fun stuff… /zzz

Damn that guy must be broke haha

The mechagnomes can too.
(But they don’t exist).

Hard times have fallen on all of us!

I mean soon as you open one box and pay him 100g and see theres no value in there he thinks you gonna keep going lol

Ewww! Those things creep me out.

Yea, seems like it. Looks like a couple items can go for 1-2k on the AH. Bout it. Bummer.

I just make keys cuz theyre super cheap to craft

Lockboxes have like 50-70g in them. At least current-expansion ones. No idea if they nerfed the gold from previous versions.

Depending on the level

No worries. Appreciate it though! I’m sitting in shuffle queues atm.

Know if it’s quick enough to train that on an alt?

I almost think it would be simpler and faster to just powerlevel a rogue. As opposed to trying to level a blacksmith. Though if you have a max level char and just swap to blacksmithing to learn the key recipe for DL that might be the fastest way to go.

If you’re a Rogue, then it’s free loot!
Otherwise, probably not.
