I think it at least sells well to a merchant. Alot of those herbs in WOD are pretty worthless.

ah. then yeah. the nazjatar cloth will be pretty-much just as useless when SL comes out.
I mean, you can vendor it. You can’t really sell it on the AH. 
For real, and all the other argus mats too. I just did a “farm every ore in the game” thing and while every ore was comfortably 4k+, an hour of empyrium only earned 100 gold at the end of the week. It all sold 
Low ilvl green cloth bracers are the best way of getting expolsum. So they’re useful for that.
That’s pretty much true for all late game crafting mats. Double for BoP raid exclusives that aren’t current anymore, looking at you Breath of Bwonsamdi and Sanguicell.
I don’t think any other expansion’s late game crafting material is that worthless.
Alright, so Lightweave is generally useless and had no long term value… what would be the best way to avoid this?
Materials are only as valuable as the crafting that can be done with them. If Argus crafting was more robust and offered more desirable options, even if exclusively cosmetic, people would still want the materials that come from there. Stats are here today, gone in one lucky dice throw, but that which looks cool may be the coolest looking version of that thing for years.
Yes, the Argus materials had some crafting value, but it was a paltry offering even when it was current content. But item creation professions have been trivialized and re-trivialized again and again… Lightweave is really just the natural result and progression of trends.
One I sincerely hope this reverses going forward.
Those are used to make things such as cauldrons and 32 slot bags. Hardly useless.
They’re BoP though, aren’t they? That makes them useless for people without the relevant professions.

manapearls are pretty useless.
What? No they aren’t.
You can get a mount with them, a Battle pet and Disenchanting fodder for epic crystals.
Once you have all that they’re useless. Just like once Lightweave cloth wasn’t useless.
So an endless supply of a battle pet for re-sale and Disenchanting mats is worthless?
Lightweave sells for 1 silver a piece; I highly doubt the current enchanting mats or that battle pet will drop that low.
