Are there any tips for being effective in collecting herbs efficiently? Lately, my routine has been to travel along the paths in major areas I have visited before and just look for pop-ups in the minimap. Are there any abilities that can be learned that can help me find herbs faster?
Also is crafting regents good items to sell in the auction house?
See a herb, pick a herb
Herbs do sell OK. I think the price had dropped a little recently but they will probably pick up once the new raid comes out because everyone needs flasks and potions for raiding.
Turn Herb tracking on.
The Gathermate add-on helps in locating potential herb nodes. It doesn’t have a magic eye and read program data, it records when you and other players pick a herb.
Making it faster to pick…
If you’re also an enchanter, there is a bfa gloves enchant that only works for the enchanter (makes the item soulbound) and makes herb picking faster. I think there was a legion version useable but anyone, but only for legion zones.
Otherwise, get the sky golem mount that allows you to pick herbs without dismounting anywhere. It’s crafted by engineers using mop engineering and mats and can be purchased but it’s generally very expensive. The mats require 30 days to make.
Monel-Hardened Stirrups are crafted by Blacksmiths and can be purchased on the AH. They allow you to gather while mounted but only in bfa zones.
This is incorrect. The BfA enchant works for anyone if you put it onto a vellum but only in the BfA zones. It’s also pretty cheap to make so you should be able to purchase it if you have gold. The sky gollum is also worth it if you have the gold. Druids can pick herbs in their travel form which makes them very efficient herbers.
If you are a new player and this is your first toon, then ignore all this advice and just do as Tink says; see a herb, pick a herb. Sell herbs in multiples (eg stack of 20 up to stacks of 200) as people are more likely to buy them than if you sell them one at a time.
