To find an icon when making a macro? It can get tiring looking through thousands of icons.

Unfortunately no, but I wouldn’t sweat it too much. If you’re looking for a class specific macro icon, they have priority of coming first.

I use /showtooltip

It makes my life easy.

I’m looking for the wild spirts icon, which I think is separate from the class abilities.

That sounds like a druid or shaman specific icon. But still, no easy way to get to a specific icon.

Maybe one day they’ll be a search function.

The addon Macro Toolkit has an icon search among its features. May be overkill for just that though.

In case people don’t know this, in 10.0 you can drag icons from your spellbook or action bar to the icon window when making a macro, and it will assign that icon to the macro. Obviously this only works if you’re wanting an icon that relates to the class you’re currently on, but it’s still better than it was!

Whoa, nice, thanks for this post. That is super easy. Seems like it may have been buried in patch notes or something.
