Trying to keep track of all my echos, keep everyone in my 30 yd range, and take care of explosives is a bit hard; is there any way to make targeting or noticing explosives easier?

AOE attacks?
Mouseover macros and a well configured nameplate addon.
Also with experience you’ll learn to expect incoming damage so you don’t always need to keep everything rolling on everyone at all times. That frees a lot of gcds. Gcds spent on overhealing are wasted.
If you’re really stuck with DPS players always standiing in Narnia, chances are they aren’t taking much damage anyway.
Can always play with Rescue and fly them with the rest of the group in anticipation of a healing check.

You can’t aoe explosives
I tried the macro but it didn’t seem to work, I remember reading a post somewhere saying they made it so you can’t use a macro, but idk.
My macro is something like:
/target Explosive
I use mouseover macros and a weakaura to announce and highlight the explosive plates. But tbh the mouseover targeting is pretty busted on it. Half the time I’m struggling to target it and the plates don’t show up for some reason. It’s bloody annoying.

Can you link me to the WA? I have tried a few but they only seem to light up when I target the explosives so it doesn’t help at all

It’s this one. It’s not very good because explosive nameplate doesn’t show up. I don’t know why Blizz designed it this way. I tried threatplates etc. but I saw no improvement. It’s just annoying and difficult to click explosives.

That one got nerfed years ago when the recategorized Explosives as Totems.

I use Plater and a Weakaura and i see them very well.
Honestly i use a lot of this guy’s profile as a base for my UI as i have very little patience with addons, i highly suggest watching his video and doing the same.
Can prolly skip Vuhdo now if you don’t want to wrestle with something coded like its 1995 as mouseover is part of the base UI now. But if you do its worth it, its by far the best healing addon even if its not very usefriendly.
The guy literally heal in the MDI.
But yeah having to play with a command center is my least favorite part of healing in this game.

Hamfisted solutions from Blizzard because the community outsmarted them? Well I never.
Tab (in theory) should target the explosive that just spawned in so you can hit it.
It is sometimes a little wonky though and doesn’t work.
I tried tab targeting but it usually cycles through 3 or 4 enemies first so if there are multiple explosives it’s not even worth.

Yeah it’s weird it sometimes works sometimes not least for me it’s hit and miss.
I do suggest the weak aura that makes a noise for explosives to be up and if you use plater it changes the boarder to be like a dotted line.
You can also do your azure strike to be a mouse over so you can mouse over smack them, especially if you use mouse overs to heal with, it should help. 
Tab targettting is just unreliable. Theres no way your target will ever land on an explosive in big mob packs in Nokhud or AA for example.

The best way I found to deal with explosives is with a mouseover macro like this:

/cast [@mouseover,exists,harm,nodead] Azure Strike; Azure Strike
/targetlastenemy
This macro allows you to target the boss or high priority add then mouseover an explosive and kill it without losing your target so that you can then immediately continue your rotation. And if you aren’t moused over a valid enemy it will still cast the spell on your current target. If you aren’t an evoker just substitute with your explosive killing spell.
Edit: note- I’m not sure if you actually need exists in this macro or not but it doesn’t break it.

Explosive is just annoying and a bunch of finger pointing in pugs so CBA.
