As the title states. My raid leader was complaining about low Warlock DPS in Molten Core. I’m the CoE Lock so after that I spam Shadow Bolt (I’m Ds/Ruin). I’ve been playing for 13 years and I’m pretty sure I know how to cast Shadow Bolt, the problem is some of those SB’s are resisted because I have 2% hit and no talents to get more in Destro. I’d like to know if there is an addon that tracks full/partial resists (yes, I know the difference) so I can give her a better understanding of what we are dealing with. I couldn’t find an option in Recount or Details which surprised me. Mik’s Scrolling Battle text displays it so it should be be able to capture the data but alas, I am not a programmer. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
Post logs if you have them. DPS numbers, fight lengths, etc. We can’t help pinpoint what’s going on without much info.
In general, you shouldn’t worry much about your dps numbers. Right now we don’t have amazing dps without blowing the bank on consumes and world buffs that aren’t reasonable to get. Especially on a PVP server. Our dps numbers from fight to fight swing wildly on luck with resists/crits.
If you want to buff your own dps, get shadow power elixir and arcane elixirs. They stack, and pretty reasonable cost. Optional buffs are Ony head, DM Tribute, and Songflower. Those are not consistent. You don’t have much control over whether you’ll get to keep them getting to raid or not.
A lot of the top lock parses are SM/Ruin locks who have been allowed to Trinket, Amp curse a curse of agony, chugged pretty much every buff, got lucky with nightfall procs/resists/crits, and had the whole fight go so short that they didnt have to break many globals away from shadowbolting to lifetap or their luck to normalize. You can’t expect to match that in a normal scenario so if your raid leader is browsing Warcraft logs and expecting his locks to be anywhere close to that, hes smoking crack.
Once you get some more hit. Your numbers will go way up
