WoW Retail feels like one of the quietest and loneliest MMO’s I’ve ever seen. Is there some sort of world chat? As far as I can tell, nobody talks or interacts with one another in Retail. Am I missing something? I’d ask ingame but there’s nobody around to ask anything.
There used to be a global chat channel, although it might have been a PvP channel that didn’t have any rating restrictions; I don’t remember why they took it out. It was neat though, like a Barrens chat around the world in every zone. The new Trade Services can function like one as its global, but I don’t know how well that is monitored so it might not be wise to spam in there something as mundane as regular chatter.

Prefer no politics or religion, if possible… just chat about game/life-is-good/funny type stuff…

there’s a social justice restriction - forgot its exact name - that prevents us from speaking. The oppression moved most chat to 3rd party places like Discord.

Any channel that exists in WoW ends up being infested with people selling runs anyway
